केवल स्कूल नहीं, प्रिंसिपल भी चुनें ।।।

किसी स्कूल में जाएँ, तो सब कुछ भूलकर सबसे पहले संस्था के प्रिंसिपल के बारे में जानें। कौन हैं, कैसे हैं, कितने वर्षों का अनुभव है, पैरेंट्स, स्टूडेंट्स और स्टाफ के प्रति उनका व्यवहार कैसा है, इस स्कूल के साथ कितने वर्षों से हैं, शिक्षा को लेकर उनकी सोच क्या है, स्कूल की व्यवस्था एवम् स्टाफ पर उन का कंट्रोल कैसा है एवम् बच्चों की शिक्षा और सुरक्षा संबंधी निर्णय लेने के लिए वो कितने स्वतंत्र हैं आदि।

सभी सुविधाएँ, टीचर, और व्यवस्थाएं एक तरफ, और प्रिंसिपल एक तरफ। बढ़िया प्रिंसिपल को चुनें।

वो प्रिंसिपल ही होते हैं, जो किसी भी स्कूल और उसके सिस्टम को चलाते हैं। सभी कार्य उन्हीं के मार्गदर्शन में होते हैं, वही अध्यापकों से काम लेते हैं, वही पढाई और अन्य गतिविधियां तय करते हैं। वही स्कूल का कल्चर और दिशा भी तय करते हैं। बच्चों का आचरण, आचार, व्यवहार और अनुशासन कैसा होगा, वे स्कूल में कितने सुरक्षित होंगे, ये सब प्रिंसिपल के लिए गए फैसलों एवम लागू किए गए नियम जी कायदों पर निर्भर करता है।

अच्छे प्रिंसिपल, साधारण सुविधाओं के साथ, साधारण अध्यापकों से भी बढ़िया काम लेकर बच्चों को बढ़िया शिक्षा दे पाते हैं, जबकि साधारण प्रिंसिपल बढ़िया सुविधाओं और बढ़िया अध्यापक होने के बावजूद भी निराश ही करते हैं।
