This day reminds us of the great man of literature and honors the contribution he made in the form of Thirukkural.
This book is considered a holy book by many since it serves as a guide for human morals and renders a path for a better way of living.
People visit this memorial on Thiruvalluvar day. The specialty of this memorial is that it is constructed to appear like a Dravidian temple. Valluvarkottam also has an auditorium for literary activities and this auditorium is so vast that it can occupy around 4000 people at a time.
People who love this great saint visit these places on Thiruvalluvar Day. It is also a piece of great news to hear that a big statue of Thiruvalluvar has been erected outside the School of Oriental and African Studies in London’s Russell Square.
