*Hagia Sophia Public School Celebrates Kindergarten Convocation*

Hagia Sophia Public School, Mattakuzhi, held its Kindergarten Convocation on March 26, 2026, with Prof. Dr. Arun A. U, Registrar CUSAT, as the chief guest. The event, inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp, saw dignitaries including Vice Chairman Fr. C A Paulose, Principal Mr. Babu Joseph, Secretary Mr. T B Kurian, Treasurer Mr. Cyril Eldho and other board members in attendance. Dr. Arun emphasized the importance of parental understanding and support for children. The ceremony featured the presentation of scrolls and vibrant entertainment programs, marking a successful celebration.

Hagian Cup 2025: A Football Fiesta!

The Under-17 Hagian Cup 2025 football tournament, inaugurated by S. Manoj, was held on November 27, 2025. Ten schools competed, with Chinmaya Vidyalaya taking home the trophy and Hagia Sophia Public School as runners-up. The closing ceremony was honored by Chottanikkara Police Inspector Tony J. Mattam, who presented the trophies. Ashin Vinayan of Hagia Sophia was the best player, and Jishnu I.L of Chinmaya Vidyalaya was the best goalkeeper. A fantastic display of talent and sportsmanship!

Jawahar House English Fest: A Celebration of Human Dignity and Justice

Jawahar House proudly presented its English Fest on November 28th in the school auditorium. The event, centered around the theme of "Human Dignity and Justice," showcased the students' talents through a variety of engaging programs. The day included a thought-provoking "Thought for the Day," eloquent speeches, a lively news presentation, a melodious group song, and a captivating skit adapted from Shakespeare's "King Lear." The fest successfully fostered campus language development, providing an enjoyable and enriching experience for all.

November 20th was a blast! Our school celebrated Children's Day with a special assembly, including a prayer, pledge, and inspiring speeches. Teachers, staff, and even the principal joined in the fun with songs, dances, and a karate performance. From Pre-KG to Class 12, everyone had a blast! It was a day of joy, entertainment, and unforgettable memories for all.
