IGIDS Inaugurates New College Union ‘ADYUTHA’
The Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences (IGIDS), Kothamangalam, inaugurated its newly elected College Union, ADYUTHA, on 31 July 2026. The inaugural ceremony, held at the college auditorium, marked the commencement of a new chapter in student leadership and campus activities. The programme began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of the Principal, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Dental Director, faculty members, and student representatives. The Principal, COO, and the Union Chairperson addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of leadership, unity, and active student participation in fostering a vibrant academic community. A key highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the ADYUTHA name and logo, symbolizing the vision and identity of the newly elected College Union. The formal ceremony was followed by an entertaining cultural programme presented by students, celebrating the spirit of teamwork and creativity. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the Joint Secretary of the College Union.
