As part of the First-Year Induction Programme 2026โ€“27, Dr. B. C. Roy Polytechnic, in association with CSRBOX, organised an engaging Behavioral Change Workshop for our newly admitted students.

The session focused on developing essential life skills, positive behavioural choices, responsible decision-making, and awareness among young minds. The programme also reinforced the important message of โ€œNasha Mukt Bharat โ€“ Say No to Drugs, Choose Lifeโ€, encouraging students to make healthy choices and stay away from substance abuse.

An important beginning to their journey at BCRPโ€”because technical education is not only about skills and knowledge, but also about building responsible, confident and socially conscious individuals.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Celebrating 80 Years of Independence with Pride & Patriotism! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur (Society) proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour and a deep sense of national pride.

The celebrations at the campus of Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College and Dr. B. C. Roy Academy of Professional Courses were graced by Dr. Satyajit Bose, President, BCREC Society; Mrs. Mita Mitra, Vice President, BCREC Society; Dr. Sanjay S. Pawar, Principal, BCREC; and Dr. Rajib Roy, Principal, BCRAPC.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ The dignitaries jointly hoisted the National Flag, followed by an impressive NCC Parade, reflecting the discipline, dedication and patriotic spirit of our students.

Addressing the gathering, the Principals encouraged students to look beyond academics and take an active role in the progress and development of the nation. Dr. Satyajit Bose emphasised that students are the future of the country and called upon them to strive for true independenceโ€”from ill health, poverty and bad culture.

The celebrations were also held jointly at the Bidhannagar Campus, comprising Dr. B. C. Roy College of Pharmacy & Allied Health Sciences and Dr. B. C. Roy Polytechnic. The National Flag was jointly hoisted by Dr. Samir Kumar Samanta, Principal, BCRCP, and Dr. Arijit Banerji, Principal, BCRP, in the presence of faculty, staff and students.

โœจ The celebrations across our institutions reaffirmed our collective commitment to freedom, unity, integrity and nation-building.

Let us continue to learn, innovate and contribute towards building a stronger, healthier and more prosperous India.

Dr. B. C. Roy Polytechnic has signed an MoU with NIIT Foundation, in collaboration with the Infosys Foundation, under its Youth Skilling Programโ€”a significant step towards empowering our students with industry-aligned skills, digital competencies, and enhanced career opportunities.
