Champion of Champions β International Yoga Day 2026 Competition
We are delighted to congratulate Trishna Ghosh, a 2nd Year Bachelor of Hospital Management (BBA-HM) student of Dr. B. C. Roy Academy of Professional Courses, for securing the prestigious title of "Champion of Champions" in the Inter-College Yoga Competition organized on 5th June 2026 at the Albert Einstein Seminar Hall.
The competition, held as part of the celebrations of International Day of Yoga 2026, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing multiple colleges.

The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at Dr. B.C. Roy Academy of Professional Courses organized a two-day hands-on training workshop titled βFrom Bench to Beyond: Alumni-Led Histopathology & ELISA Workshopβ for B.Sc. MLT students on 21st and 22nd May 2026.
Day: 1 Workshop Report
The program was inaugurated by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajib Roy, and Prof. Sohini Ganguly,
Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, felicitated the alumni speaker in
recognition of his valuable contribution to the workshop.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Rajib Roy, who highlighted the
importance of practical training workshops in bridging the gap between academic learning and
professional workplace challenges. He encouraged students to build confidence, enhance their technical expertise, and develop the skills necessary to effectively handle real-life laboratory
situations.
Prof. Sohini Ganguly, Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, also
delivered a valuable speech emphasizing the significance of the workshop and the importance of earning from alumni experiences and professional expertise. The keynote session was delivered by Debanghshu Das, Junior Technician at The Mission Hospital, on the topic of ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay)βan important laboratory technique widely used in diagnostics and biomedical research.
During the first half of the workshop (11:45 AM to 1:20 PM), the speaker explained the
theoretical concepts of ELISA, including its principles, applications, and significance in disease diagnosis and research.
In the second half (2:00 PM to 5:45 PM), students received hands-on practical training on ELISA
instrument handling, calibration procedures, testing protocols, and result interpretation under
expert guidance. The interactive session provided students with valuable exposure to real
laboratory practices and technical procedures.
The day-one workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Sohini Ganguly. The
program officially ended around 6:00 PM.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), in collaboration with the Instituteβs Innovation Council (IIC) and Industry Institute Partnership Cell, successfully organized an Entrepreneurship Awareness Program followed by the entrepreneurial competition βPitch & Profit: Edition 1, 2026 β Affordable, Real-World Entrepreneurial Initiativesβ on 13th May 2026 at Seminar Hall, Asutosh Bhawan.
The event aimed to inspire students towards entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, and practical business thinking while encouraging start-up culture and real-world problem-solving.
