This year, the nation marks the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas with profound respect and gratitude. Kargil wasn't just a victory; it was the triumph of courage over adversity.

In May 1999, the heights of Kargil were occupied in an attempt to disrupt the vital link between Kashmir and Ladakh. Through Operation Vijay, our Armed Forces fought against all odds, reclaimed every strategicy peak, and on 26th July restored the Tricolour over the mountains of Kargil—turning courage into victory and sacrifice into history.

This Kargil Vijay Diwas, ISTE Students' Chapter NIT Durgapur proudly pays tribute to the heroes of Kargil, whose legacy inspires generations. 🇮🇳

On this sacred day, Lord Jagannath journeys through the streets from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple, reminding us that his grace reaches everyone. This timeless tradition symbolizes that no one is beyond the reach of divine grace. Just as the sacred chariot moves with collective effort of countless devotees, our lives too progress when guided by faith, unity, and selfless service.

Muharram marks the beginning of the Islamic lunar year with a spirit of reverence and reflection. As one of the four sacred months in Islam, it inspires faith, compassion, and ethical values.

The sacred month encourages believers to strengthen their faith through prayer, patience, humility, and devotion.

The 10th day of Muharram, known as Ashura, commemorates the supreme sacrifice of Imam Husayn ibn Ali at the Battle of Karbala, serving as a timeless reminder that truth and righteousness ultimately prevail over oppression.
