We, the Students' Gymkhana of the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, are thrilled to bring you the second edition of *RECrave*—our Annual Food Fest! This event is our tribute to the vibrant and diverse culinary traditions of our student community, offering a chance to strengthen bonds both within the institute and with the wider community.

As the fest approaches, we warmly invite everyone to join us on the 13th and 14th of September 2024 for a flavorful celebration. See you there!

Every year brings new opportunities, fresh challenges, and the chance to redefine what's possible. As we turn the page to a new chapter in our college's history, we find ourselves on the cusp of exciting transformations.

In the spirit of progress and innovation, we proudly introduce the torchbearers of change for our academic community.

Presenting before you, the office bearers of the students Gymkhana for the upcoming academic year 2024-25. Armed with vision, determination, and a commitment to excellence, they stand ready to lead our institution into a future brimming with potential.

Students' Gymkhana, the official student body of NIT Durgapur, recently undertook the responsibility of cleaning and levelling of the Lords ground. Several Gymkhana members as well as other students volunteered to coordinate this task with the vendor. The entire process was completed in around 10 days.

Our upcoming college fests have many events scheduled to take place at Lords. This endeavour was taken up to provide a satisfactory experience to all the people participating in the fests and allow students to take part in recreational activities on the ground.

Whether it be a hobby, or be it in terms of a competitive and professional setting, sports is always an integral part of our lives.

Our students have waited for 2 long years because of Covid-19 halting all Inter-NIT sports activities. This year, the Students' Gymkhana of our college made it possible to restart the legacy of sports in our institution.

All the competitors who went for Inter-NIT sports to represent NIT Durgapur, were given all the help from free kits, travel expenses, to registration fees and food vouchers. The year of 2023 turned out to be a great comeback for NIT Durgapur in the Inter NIT sports meets and this was made possible by the students themselves, in association with the Students' Gymkhana of the college and the College Administration.

The Students' Gymkhana is proud to announce Koushik Ravipati
secured Gold Medal in 100m and 200m Sprint and conveys him heartiest congratulations.

After the gruelling and intense elections, the Gymkhana representatives for this calendar year were elected.

Without any delay, they started working towards the development of the college. Keeping in mind the constant ongoing traffic in front of our main gate, the Gymkhana, in association with Durgapur Police has installed barricades and currently installing speed breakers on Mahatma Gandhi road in front of the main gate to curb the over speeding of vehicles which might cause accidents that are uncalled for.

There's a first time for everything. For long-fought battles, for the arduous wins, and for the little treasures of life.

Then, there are those first times etched in the minds of everyone, the first time after 2 long years when a student gymkhana has been finally elected.
