Teacher’s day marks the birth anniversary of one of the finest teachers and philosophers of the nation, Late Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. We, Indians, celebrate this day every year to acknowledge and highlight the contribution of teachers in a student's life. However, only one day a year isn't sufficient to acknowledge a teacher's role but we can definitely regard it as their appreciation day!
We had a very short but sweet celebration in our lab with Prof. Sudit Mukhopadhyay and Dr. Ashish Bhattacharjee along with a departmental programme in NIT Durgapur. Here are some of the glimpses!

Gene therapy and vaccine making is one of the most fund intensive areas in the field of science. It's a happy news that Reliance Life Sciences is taking this initiative. We can hope for some effective modes of treatment and indigenous vaccines in the near future which not only will be cost-effective but also easy to procure by our country.

Hello all! Welcome to the page of Prof. Sudit S. Mukhopadhyay's laboratory. Our lab is placed in National Institute of Technology, Durgapur and is currently involved in two interesting areas of research:
(1) The role of Fanconi Anaemia genes in genomic instability and cancer susceptibility.
(2) Protein engineering of cellulose and xylose degrading enzymes.
