GALL BLADDER POLYP !

Usg showing GB polyp with pedicular vascularity on Doppler.
GB polyp has increased risk for Gall bladder cancer in long run.
It should be followed over time for any increase in growth. Polyp size less than 6mm is usually non neoplastic. Annual growth of >4mm in any polyp is suspicious for malignancy.
See a radiologist and get proper advice for follow up to avoid complication if u see such findings in your ultrasound.

PCOS/PCOD AWARENESS

PCOS- Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is a condition of Chronic Hormonal imbalance leading to multiple immature follicles arranged in a ‘Necklace pattern’ at the periphery of O***y, increasing the ovarian volume as seen on ultrasound.

Symptoms- Oligomenorrhea to Ammenorhea, Dysmenorrhea, Acne, Weight gain, Hirsutism, Infertility, Predilection for Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia & Coronary Artery disease.

If you’re a lady having these symptoms, consult your gynaecologist at the earliest & get evaluated.

Portal vein thrombosis

One of the commonest complication seen in liver cirrhosis.
Ultrasonography shows thrombosis of intra hepatic segment of portal vein with near complete occlusion of lumen. Absent vascularity differentiates it from tumour thrombus.
This will lead to portal hypertension and its clinical manifestations.
Important thing is to rule out splenic vein/SMV occlusion or involvement of hepatic veins to look for BUDD CHIARI SYNDROME.

Avoid chronic consumption of alcohol and keep your liver healthy.
