✅ 3,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued

🎯 CRS Cut-off Score: 516

📅 This follows the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw held on 4 August 2026, where 507 ITAs were issued with a CRS score of 768.

Effective 25 July 2026, the Australian Government introduced Ministerial Direction 119, giving higher priority to many applicants who are already living and working in Australia (onshore).

Here's the new processing priority order:

🥇 Priority 1: Onshore applications supporting Australia's defence and law enforcement.

🥈 Priority 2: Offshore applications supporting defence and law enforcement.

🥉 Priority 3: Onshore applicants working in Healthcare, Teaching, and Construction occupations.

4️⃣ Priority 4: All other onshore skilled nomination and visa applications.

5️⃣ Priority 5: All offshore skilled nomination and visa applications.

What does this mean?

✅ Applicants already in Australia may experience faster processing than comparable offshore applicants.

✅ Professionals in priority sectors such as Healthcare, Teaching, and Construction could benefit from increased processing priority if applying from within Australia.

Great news for international students planning to study in New Zealand!

From 20 July 2026, Immigration New Zealand has introduced important improvements to the Pathway Student Visa (PSV), making it easier for eligible students to progress through their studies with greater flexibility. These changes are part of New Zealand's broader strategy to strengthen its international education sector and improve the student experience.

What's Changed?

✅ More flexibility when progressing from school to tertiary study
Students moving from secondary school to higher education no longer need to have their exact tertiary discipline listed in their visa conditions, provided they continue studying with the approved education provider.

✅ Broader study pathways
The Pathway Student Visa now covers study leading to and between NZQCF Levels 1–4, allowing students greater flexibility across eligible qualifications.

✅ Longer English language study
The maximum duration for English language study under the Pathway Student Visa has increased from 20 weeks to 30 weeks, giving students additional time to meet language requirements before progressing to their main programme.
