The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education extended the last date for online registration for 'Yuva Sangam Phase VII' till August 31, 2026.

'Yuva Sangam' is a youth exchange program by the Ministry of Education, India, under the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' initiative (EBSB). It connects young people aged 18–30 through cultural and educational tours between paired states. During their visits, the participants will receive multi-dimensional exposure under five broad thematic areas – Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Paraspar Sampark (People-to-People Connect), and Prodyogiki (Technology). Yuva Sangam Phase–VII aims to foster mutual understanding, enhance appreciation of India’s rich diversity, and nurture young ambassadors of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.

Interested youth aged 18 to 30 years, including students of Higher Education Institutions, NSS / NYKS volunteers and young professionals, can register through the official 'Yuva Sangam portal'.

Independence Day (August 15, 1947) shared a historical and spiritual link with Rishi Aurobindo as it marked his 75th birthday (born August 15, 1872). He viewed this alignment as a divine seal upon his life's early political work. Sri Aurobindo Ghosh demanded total autonomy (Purna Swaraj) through his fiery essays in the nationalist newspaper 'Bande Mataram'. His arrest in 1908 during the Alipore Bomb Case led to a spiritual transformation and he moved to Pondicherry to dedicate himself to a higher spiritual destiny for India and humanity. In this venture his collaborator was Mirra Alfassa, (known to her followers as "The Mother" or "Shri Maa"), a French-Indian spiritualist who came to Pondicherry and recognized Sri Aurobindo as her spiritual guide.

AHFSM celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India and Rishi Aurobindo's legacy on 15th August, 2026. Sri. Sukanta Kanrar, Department of Sanskrit, of our college made a special presentation, 'A Life Divine - Sri. Aurobindo' as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ celebration.
