On the directions of *SSP Doda, Sh. Sandeep Mehta–JKPS*, Cyber Police Station Doda organized Cyber Awareness Day at Shaheen Public Higher Secondary School, Doda to sensitise students, teachers, and staff about emerging cyber threats and preventive measures. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students and school faculty.

On this occasion, Inspector Surinder Vir Singh Chib from Cyber Police Station Doda delivered detailed lectures, educating the participants about:

Use of cybercrime reporting portals, CEIR Portal for reporting stolen/missing mobile phones, Latest modus operandi adopted by fraudsters to deceive the public, Online financial frauds including credit card fraud, OTP frauds, QR code scan scams, online gaming frauds, and fraudulent loan assurances

Participants were advised to keep their social media accounts secure, avoid interacting with unknown individuals on platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, etc., and adopt safe online practices.

It is pertinent to mention that Cyber Awareness Programmes are regularly organized by J&K Police to spread awareness about cybercrimes, online frauds, and cheating, ensuring that the general public remains alert and does not fall victim to cyber fraudsters.

Essay, Slogan & Painting Competitions Held in Doda to Mark 5th Anniversary of Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan

Doda, November 18:- Shaheen Public Higher Secondary School, Doda, today hosted an Essay and Slogan Writing Competition to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA). The awareness programme was organised by Sankalp HEWs under Mission Shakti, Department of Social Welfare Doda, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Doda Sh. Harvinder Singh, IAS and supervision of District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Doda.

Students participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their understanding of substance abuse and its harmful effects on individuals, families and the broader society. The competitions were followed by an interactive awareness session, during which the Sankalp team sensitized students about the increasing threat of drug addiction, its psychological, social, and health consequences, and the importance of early detection and timely support.

Students were encouraged to become proactive ambassadors of a drug-free environment by remaining vigilant, reporting suspicious activities, and guiding their peers towards healthier lifestyle choices. They were also informed about the National Drug De-addiction Helpline 14446, a dedicated service offering counselling, guidance, and support for individuals struggling with substance abuse.
