CEO Doda Conducts Surprise Inspections in Bhaderwah Zone, Calls for Improved Academic Standards

Doda, June 06- Chief Education Officer Doda, Sh. Bhushan Kumar Pathak, conducted surprise inspections of several schools in Zone Bhaderwah to assess the academic environment, discipline, and overall functioning of the institutions.

During his visit to Government Higher Secondary School Girls Bhaderwah, the CEO found the school environment unsatisfactory. He personally interacted with students in classrooms and observed that several students were roaming within the premises while some teachers were not engaged in teaching activities. Taking serious note of the lapses, CEO issued on-the-spot directions to the Principal to ensure proper classroom engagement and maintain discipline within the school.

The CEO then visited Boys Middle School Gatha, where three other schools are currently clubbed. He interacted with both students and staff, emphasizing the need to improve teaching standards and ensure effective teaching-learning outcomes. He also directed the staff to take concrete measures to enhance student enrollment in the institution.

Subsequently, CEO inspected Government High School Nichlathara, where he found the overall academic environment below expectations. During the visit, students were being engaged by a Physical Education Master. Expressing concern over the situation, the CEO issued strict on-the-spot directives to the staff to improve the quality of education and ensure proper academic engagement of students.

Reiterating his commitment to strengthening the education system in the district, CEO stressed the importance of accountability, regular monitoring, and dedication among teaching staff to provide quality education to students.

Doda, June 05: World Environment Day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm across all government and private schools of District Doda under the guidance of Chief Education Officer Doda, Sh. Bhushan Kumar Pathak.

The celebrations were held under the supervision of school heads, witnessing active participation from students, staff, and parents. A range of activities was organized to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among the younger generation.

A major highlight of the day was the launch of the national initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0,” which commenced across the district. As part of the drive, saplings were planted within school premises as well as in nearby areas, reflecting a collective commitment to environmental conservation.

Mega Rally on Nasha Mukt Abhiyan & Communal Harmony at Bhaderwah

Doda, June 04: Bhaderwah witnessed a powerful display of unity and awareness as a mega rally was organized to promote a drug-free society and communal harmony. Students, youth, NCC cadets, ex-servicemen, civil society members, and the general public participated with great enthusiasm, making the event a grand success.

The rally was flagged off by SSP Doda, Shri Kartik Shrotriya, from Govt. HSS Boys Bhaderwah, with participation from various schools across Bhaderwah, and concluded at Seri Bazar. The programme also included the administration of a pledge against drug abuse and in support of communal harmony. The atmosphere resonated with impactful slogans spreading the message of peace, unity, and brotherhood.

ADC Bhaderwah Reviews Functioning of PM SHRI Govt. HSS Bhalra

Doda, June 3: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah, Sh.Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, on Wednesday visited PM SHRI Government Higher Secondary School Bhalra to review the overall functioning of the institution, with a focus on academic performance, infrastructure, and administrative arrangements.

During his visit, the ADC carried out a detailed inspection of various sections of the school and stressed the importance of maintaining quality education, discipline, and continuous upgradation of facilities. He appreciated the efforts of the school administration in ensuring a conducive and progressive learning environment for students.

The ADC inspected key facilities including the Lower, High and Higher Secondary wings, Atal Tinkering Lab, STEM Lab, ICT Lab, and the Astrophysics Lab. He also visited the NCC office of 10 J&K Battalion NCC Bhaderwah and recorded his observations in the visitors’ diary.

On the occasion, Principal Asha Bhalwal formally welcomed the ADC and presented him with a bouquet and memento. She, along with Associate NCC Officer Sanjeev Kumar Koul, briefed the visiting officer about the institution’s academic initiatives, co-curricular activities, and NCC programmes.

NCC Cadets of PM SHRI HSS BHALRA Shine at Divisional Level Science Exhibition

NCC Cadet Arya Veer Kotwal and Cadet Varun Kotwal of 10 J&K Battalion NCC Bhaderwah proudly represented their institution at the Divisional Level Rashtriya Satariya Bal Vigyan Pradarshani (RSBVP) held on 30th May 2026 at Jammu.

The young cadets showcased innovative models on Water Conservation and Emerging Technologies, reflecting their scientific temper, creativity, and commitment towards sustainable development. Having qualified at the District Level, their participation at the divisional stage is truly commendable.
