Govt. Nursing College Doda Organised Nursing Exhibition on “Innovation in Patient Care and Safety”
Govt. Nursing College Doda organized a Nursing Exhibition on the theme “Innovation in Patient Care and Safety” under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Rakesh Bahl, Principal, GMC Doda, and under the supervision of Dr. Suresh K. Kotwal, Coordinator, Govt. Nursing College Doda.
The event was successfully coordinated by the faculty of Govt. Nursing College Doda, where students showcased various innovative models and ideas aimed at improving patient care and ensuring safety in healthcare settings. The exhibition provided a valuable platform for students to display their creativity, scientific thinking, and practical understanding of nursing concepts.
At the conclusion of the event, winners were felicitated with medals and trophies for their outstanding presentations.

Government Nursing College Doda celebrated World Mental Health Day 2025 with great enthusiasm under the global theme “Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.”
The event was held under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Rakesh Bahl, Principal, Government Medical College Doda, and the supervision of Dr. Suresh K. Kotwal, Coordinator, Government Nursing College Doda.
The programme was organised by the Department of Mental Health Nursing, Government Nursing College Doda. The event was coordinated and conducted by faculty members Ms. Reeta Devi and Ms. Rehana Banoo, who emphasised the importance of mental health awareness, timely access to mental health services, and the need for psychological support during crises and emergencies.
Other faculty members who presented and judges in this event included Ms. Rifat Naz, Mr. Ahrar Ahmed Dev, Ms. Manisha Manhas, and Ms. Simran Parihar.
Various activities, including awareness sessions, Speech competition, Rangoli Competition Poster Competition , and student interactions, were organised to highlight the significance of mental well-being and resilience in times of catastrophe.
The celebration concluded with a message encouraging students and the community to work collectively towards creating a mentally healthy society.

Government Nursing College Doda organized an Orientation and Welcome Program for the newly admitted students of B.Sc. Nursing Batch 2025–26. The program commenced with a warm welcome to the students, introducing them to the academic environment, institutional values, and professional ethics of the nursing profession.
The event was held under the esteemed guidance of Principal, Dr. Rakesh Bahl Sir, and under the supervision of the Coordinator, Government Nursing College Doda. On this occasion, Dr. Suresh K. Kotwal and Academic Registrar GMC Doda, Dr. Walied Khawar Balwan, delivered welcome addresses and motivated the students to pursue the noble profession of nursing with dedication, discipline, and compassion.
The faculty members of Government Nursing College Doda also addressed the students, providing valuable instructions related to the course plan, academic regulations, and expectations from the new batch.
The program concluded with best wishes to the students of Batch 2025–26, marking the beginning of their professional journey in the field of nursing.
