Mahabodhi School-MBS DIYUN:
The 80th anniversary of our nation's independence and 150 years of Vande Mataram were celebrated with vibrant displays and a sense of national pride. This occasion commemorates our country's liberation and highlights the importance of upholding constitutional laws. Today, we remember the sacrifices made by those freedom fighters who fought tirelessly for our independence.
For this celebration, we were honoured to have Shri Captain Arjun Yadav from the 8th Assam Rifles as the chief guest. He encouraged students to become responsible citizens of our nation, emphasizing that preparation now is essential to strengthen their ability to serve in the future.
The event began with the hoisting of the national flag by Shri Shanti Kumar Chakma, Vice Principal of Mahabodhi School, Diyun. In his address, he recalled the hardships faced during the struggle for independence, emphasizing that freedom was not easily attained and often came at great personal sacrifice. He advised students that it is their duty to contribute to the development of a free and prosperous nation.
Our Principal, Shri Basanta Kumar Chakma, also motivated students to develop patriotism and a deep love for their country. The celebration was deemed a success under the leadership and guidance of the Principal.
