PTU Learning Centre (ssimt) Centre Code-428 Dinanagar its a study centre running under the Punjab technical University Jalandhar PTU is a state government University established by Govt.

of Punjab by a state legislative Act. PTU is recognized under section 2(f) of UGC act and offers programs only as per nomenclature defined by UGC. All degrees awarded by PTU recognized by University Grant Commission

All regular colleges of PTU are approved by AICTE

PTU is a member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities)

PTU distance education program is approved by DEC (Distance Education C

ouncil), IGNOU
Approved by Joint Committee of UGC-AICTE-DEC vide letter no. DEC/2010/6925 dated
26th March 2010

PTU degrees are recognized world over including certification by NARRIC for Britain. MSC-IT of PTU is rated equivalent to Masters Degree in Britain. By the virtue of its act (Section 4) the jurisdiction of the University is the entire country. Degrees and Diplomas are recognized for equivalence and lateral entry by New College Nottingham, City college Norwich, Birmingham City University, University College Birmingham.
