Young Minds, Big Ideas!

Four young Stonites from Livingstone Foundation International participated in the 4th Inter-School Junior Science Fair 2026, held on 21st August 2026 at Hollotoli School.

Designed for students of Grades IV and V, the science fair provided an exciting platform for young learners to explore the wonders of science through research projects, hands-on experiments, creative models, and innovative ideas. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn, share, interact with fellow young scientists, and turn their curiosity into meaningful discoveries.

Beyond the projects and experiments, the experience encouraged our students to ask questions, think creatively, solve problems, and look at the world with a scientific mindset.

We are proud of our four young Stonites for stepping forward with curiosity, confidence, and a passion for learning. May this experience inspire them to keep questioning, exploring, and discovering!

A Proud Moment for the Stonites!
Livingstone Foundation International is proud to share another wonderful achievement by our students, who secured the 2nd Position at Nature’s Camp: An Interactive Ecology Workshop.

Bringing together participants from 11 schools, the workshop provided an engaging platform for students to explore the fascinating world of ecology, deepen their understanding of nature and the environment, and put their knowledge, teamwork and observation skills into action.

Organised by the Nagaland Science Centre, Department of Science & Technology, Government of Nagaland, the programme was held on 20 August 2026 at the Innovation Hub, Nagaland Science Centre, Dimapur.

A heartfelt congratulations to Aotila (Class 8B), Abhinav (Class 8A), and Watisunep (Class 7A) for proudly representing Livingstone Foundation International and working together as a team to secure this commendable achievement. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, curiosity and commitment to learning beyond the classroom have truly made the Stonites family proud.

This achievement is a wonderful reminder that meaningful learning happens not only within the classroom, but also through exploration, collaboration and a deeper connection with the world around us.

Strengthening Assessment & Evaluation.

Two days of learning, reflection and meaningful conversations came to an end at Livingstone Foundation International School, Nagaland, as we hosted the CBSE Teachers’ Training Programme on “Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices” on 17th–18th August 2026.

Organised by the CBSE Centre of Excellence (CoE), Guwahati, the programme brought together educators from six schools for an engaging professional learning experience.

The sessions were led by Mr. Hemanta Payeng, Principal, Mangaldai Maharshree Vidyalaya Mandir, Darrang, Assam, whose insights and interactive sessions helped teachers look at assessment beyond marks and results- as a meaningful tool to understand learners, identify their needs and improve learning outcomes.

Across the two days, teachers shared experiences, participated in discussions and explored practical ways to make classroom assessment more purposeful, learner-centred and aligned with the CBSE curriculum.

Participating schools included Hope Academy School, Shemrock School, Rameshwari Karuna School, Delhi Public School, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, and Livingstone Foundation International School.

As the host institution, LFI was honoured to provide the platform for educators to connect, learn from one another and strengthen their assessment practices.

A meaningful two days of professional growth, collaboration and learning- with ideas to take back into the classroom.

🌏 Beyond Classrooms, Across Borders 🇮🇳🤝🇧🇹
9-13 August 2026 | Thimphu, Bhutan 🇧🇹
Livingstone Foundation International School, Nagaland, India, embarked on a meaningful Cultural & Educational Exchange Programme with Thimphu Primary School, Bhutan- turning a journey across borders into lessons that go far beyond textbooks.
From a warm traditional welcome and student-to-student pairing to joining classrooms and sharing stories, our students experienced the beauty of learning through culture, friendship and real-world interaction.
A special highlight was sharing Nagaland’s rich heritage through presentations and traditional attire representing different Naga tribes, while learning about Bhutanese culture and traditions in return.
The journey continued beyond the classroom- with visits to Takin Zoo, Buddha Point, Phuentsholing and local markets, along with the unforgettable experience of witnessing an international football match between Bhutan and Afghanistan.
More than a school trip, this was a journey of confidence, independence, cultural understanding and friendship.
Because sometimes, the most meaningful lessons are found not in books, but in the people we meet and the places we experience.

Beyond Classrooms, Across Borders 🌏

Livingstone Foundation International School, Nagaland, India, was proud to participate in a Cultural & Educational Exchange Programme with Thimphu Primary School, Bhutan, from 9–13 August 2026.

The exchange gave our students an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom through culture, interaction, travel and real-world experiences.

The programme included a warm traditional welcome, meaningful student interactions and classroom participation. Each LFI student was paired with a Bhutanese student of the same grade, creating opportunities for friendship, conversation and learning.

A special highlight was sharing Nagaland through presentations and traditional attire representing different Naga tribes, proudly showcasing our culture and identity.

The students also visited Takin Zoo and Buddha Point, explored Phuentsholing and local markets, and watched an international football match between Bhutan and Afghanistan, adding another memorable experience to their journey.

Beyond textbooks, the exchange helped our students grow in confidence, independence, adaptability, communication and respect for other cultures.

Most importantly, it reminded us that education has no borders. A conversation can become a lesson, and a friendship can become a bridge between cultures.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Thimphu Primary School, Bhutan, for the warm welcome and meaningful opportunities to learn, interact and connect.
