The Nagaland Pollution Control Board (EIACP) collaborated with Highland Hall Higher Secondary School, Chรผmoukedima on 11th June 2026 to conduct an insightful environmental awareness programme aimed at inspiring positive action for a greener future.
The session, chaired by Mr. Dokina Das, Vice Principal, highlighted pressing global environmental concerns, including rising temperatures, rapid glacier melt, increasing climate related disasters, and the growing impact of environmental degradation on human health and ecosystems.
The programme featured engaging presentations by:
Ms. Khriehunuo Rutsa, Programme Officer (EIACP), who emphasized the invaluable role of nature, highlighting forests as the lungs of the Earth and oceans as key regulators of the global climate.
Mrs. Lashikali Chishi, Information Officer (EIACP), introduced the students to Mission LiFE and shared practical โLiFE Actionsโ that encourage energy conservation, responsible consumption, and sustainable everyday practices.
The program concluded beautifully with a collective pledge by students and faculty to make eco-friendly changes in daily life, followed by a warm vote of thanks from the School Administrator, Mrs. Kezhaleno Angami.
