NEET result 2020 will be declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in the last week of September. The result of NEET 2020 will be uploaded on the official website of NTA. To download the NEET 2020 result, candidates will have to log in to their registered accounts on the official website. NEET scorecard can also be downloaded using the same method. Candidates must note that the result of NEET 2020 will not be sent by post under any circumstances.
The announcement of NEET result 2020 will be accompanied by the release of the final answer key. Candidates must note that the result of NEET 2020 will be final. NTA will not entertain any requests for the re-evaluation of the answer sheet post the declaration of NEET 2020 result. The role of NTA is limited to the released of NEET result 2020 and preparation of the merit list. Candidates who qualify NEET 2020 will be eligible to participate in the counselling process which will be conducted at both state and national level.

NEET 2020: The Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET counselling for admission. The counselling will be conducted in online mode. Only NEET 2020 qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling.

Three rounds of counselling will be organised including a mop-up round. This round counselling is only conducted for deemed/ central university and ESIC college admissions for vacant seats.

DGHS on behalf of MCC conducts the counselling for:

– 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical/dental colleges

– All MBBS/BDS seats in central and deemed universities

NEET 2020 counselling: Eligibility criteria
Candidates should have qualified entrance exam by achieving prerequisite NEET minimum cut-off percentile to be eligible for the admission process. Aspirants will have to complete the registration on the official website- mcc.nic.in to be eligible for counselling.

NEET 2020 counselling criteria for central universities
Banaras Hindu University (BHU): All the NEET qualified candidates who are eligible for counselling will also be eligible for BHU counselling for admission into the university.

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU): Candidates who have studied from the University’s school from the last three years will have 50 per cent institutional reservation. All NEET qualified candidates will be eligible for the remaining 50 per cent seats.

Delhi University: Colleges of Delhi university contribute 15 per cent seats to All India quota and the candidates who have studies class 11th and 12th in Delhi will only be eligible for the rest 85 per cent institutional quota seats.

NEET 2020 Counselling: Step-wise process
Step 1: Registration- NEET qualified candidates will have to register themselves on the official website mcc.nic.in. During registration, they will be required to fill their personal, academic, NEET result, contact and other asked details.

Step 2: Counselling fee payment- For successful registration process, candidates will have to pay a non-refundable registration and a refundable tuition fee. The registration fee for General category is Rs. 1000, while that for SC/ST/OBC, it is Rs. 500.

Step 3: Choice filling and locking – After registration, candidates will be given the opportunity to provide their preferences of colleges and courses in which they wish to get admission. Seats will be allotted to the candidate on the basis of preferences marked by them.

The Joint Entrance Exam result (JEE Main Result 2020) for the September session is expected to be released today. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Cut off 2020 on its official website— jeemain.nta.nic.in. Once the JEE Main result 2020 is out, candidates will be able to view their scorecards using their application number along with password or date of birth. The result will be declared on the official website but in case there are technical glitches, candidates might face difficulties in downloading the JEE Main result 2020 from —jeemain.nta.nic.in.

About JEE Mains 2020
JEE Main Result 2020 is a gateway to admission to B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Planning courses. Courses in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating through Central Seat Allocation Board will be based on All India Rank (AIR). Once the JEE Main results 2020 are released, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), conducting body of JEE Main 2020 counselling, will release the schedule for JEE Main 2020 counselling and seat allotment soon on the website.

This year, the counselling will be held in an online mode. Candidates will be required to register on the official website of JoSAA to participate in the JEE Main Counselling and Seat Allotment 2020.

Guidlines For JEE, NEET Exams Next Month
JEE /NEET 2020: Besides the usual coronavirus safety protocol, all candidates will be required to self-declare their health status and that they have not been in contact with any Covid-19 patient.
Students appearing for the JEE, NEET this year, amid the coronavirus pandemic, will not only have to compulsorily wear face mask and hand gloves, but also carry a personal bottle of water and hand sanitizer to the exam centre - the location to which will be shared through a link days earlier. Their admit card will have detailed instructions on social distancing.
The entry to the exam centre itself would be staggered and students will have to clear a thermal scan for gaining access. However, each exam centre will also have "isolation rooms" for those candidates whose body temperature is above 99.4 degrees fahrenheit.

While the National Testing Agency, or the NTA, has made provision to accommodate the symptomatic candidates, it has sought a self-declaration that candidates "do not have any coronavirus-like symptoms or suffer from COVID-19 or have not been in touch with anybody who tested positive recently".

It must be noted that the guidelines do not clarify if candidates from containment zones would be allowed to write the examination as they may be asymptomatic but would have come in contact with a Covid-positive person recently.

The NTA issuing these instructions today indicates that the central government may go ahead with the plan to conduct the national entrance exams for the IITs, and medical courses despite the growing demand to postpone them in view of Covid restrictions and floods in many states.

The development comes days after the NTA issued admit cards for the two exams scheduled to be held in September.

According to the guidelines issued by the NTA to safely conduct the examinations, the reporting time will be staggered. "This is being done to ensure uniform distribution of candidates across rooms for entering an examination centre," the advisory read.

Before entering the exam hall, each student would be required to wash their hands with soap and water. However, there will be no water dispenser to avoid spreading the contagion.

Candidates will be given a fresh three-ply face mask on entering the exam centre and asked to "throw the old one".

The JEE (Main) will be conducted for some 8.6 lakh students between September 1 and 6, while the NEET (UG) will be organised across urban centres for about 15 lakh students.
