Parishmita Borgohain, a cadet from MDKG College NCC unit, took part in the esteemed Republic Day parade held in New Delhi on January 26, 2025. She also had the honor of meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 'PM at Home' visit on January 24, 2025, as part of the RDC camp held at New Delhi.

A delegation of teachers and office staff of MDKG College led by Principal Dr. Anup Jyoti Bharali met Sjt. Prasanta Phukan Sir to felicitate him on becoming the honourable Minister of Power, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship, and Medical Education and Research, Govt. of Assam. He was greeted by the team with a Phulam Gamocha and a Citation. The college logo on the Gamocha is specially designed by Abhilasha Medhi, a student of the college, which is a part of the college's endeavours towards encouraging diverse skills in students.

Celebration of International Human Rights Day, 2024
International Human Rights day is observed annually on Dec 10th to commemorate the adoption UDHR by the United Nation General Assembly, 1948. The Department of Political Science, MDKG College also celebrated the day on 10th Dec 2024,following the annual tradition of the department
This year, the special occasion was celebrated by conducting a Poster Making Competition amongst the students of the institute. This was followed by a brief programme where the faculty and students discussed about the significance of Human Rights
Ms Bipta Debnath Judged the competition and the following students were rewarded –
