When I joined the varsity in 2003, I could build an instant rapport with Anupam Baruah Sir, the then Head of USIC, Dibrugarh University. May be because we shared the same background of IT/Computers and our thought process matched. I got whatever I asked from him. I was welcome to spend time with him working at the workstation in his Office, then located at the Library. I used to teach Computer Networks to the PGDCA students at the Centre for Computer Studies, Dibrugarh University (now Centre for Computer Science and Applications) during 2004 & 2005 and met him often as he also used to take classes. I last met him a few years back at a Book Fair, if I remember correctly. I condole your demise and will remember you as someone very simple and grounded and one who lived life on his own terms. Adieu, Sir!
