Forum Of Petroleum Engineers is an attempt to bridge the gap between students of Petroleum Engineering and the Exploration & Production Industry of the nation, also engulfing in the loop, the fleet of Service Providers currently in operation, within our concerned demographic. As new developments are hitting the Industry every new day,it is matter that needs urgent attention,that the students of Pe

troleum Engineering require to keep themselves updated with the newer technologies and research activities,going on within the Industry. The very aim of this forum is to primarily facilitate the greater student community with these opportunities, so that they can keep themselves abreast with the newer horizons that the Industry aims to explore . It is a matter of concern that in the coming decade approximately fifty percent(50%) of experienced and managerial personnel of international oil companies industrywide are expected to retire. As a matter of fact though this will not all happen on a single day, it will create voids of experience creating simultaneous gaps of unprecedented proportions in the staffs of many international and national oil companies. To compensate losses due to this phenomenon to the maximum amount possible, FPE will strive to retain the experince of the outgoing crew and work relentlessly to pass on the experince to the newer generation of crew coming in to the Industry. FPE understands and emphasises on to start the grooming process of the students studying Petroleum Engineering and aliied courses, who will be working in the Industry during their periods of study in the graduating phase of their careers. In the global oil and gas industry,complexities abound throughout the exploration and production spectrum. Throughout this extraordinarily competitive, high-stakes environment,if companies could put their collective fingers on one overriding objective, it would likely be to eliminate guesswork as much as possible. It is of utmost importance and an primary pillar of success that the companies choose the right person for the right job. As more and more instiutes, offering Petroleum Engineering as a course of study are being opened up in India, it has given the companies a greater pool of skilled human resourse to choose from,within the country. FPE will keep a record of the human resourse potential of the country by keeping an arcieve of the figures and facts of the students who are going to complete their graduation, by each year within our demographic.The matter needs utmost attention as the companies need to emphasise in continuing their approach validated in the industry's technical ranks, through company satisfaction with job performance and increased levels of employee retention, which can be possible only if the companies chooses the right persons for jobs that demands a high-skill level. FPE can go a long way in helping the companise realise their true human resourse potential of the country and also help them in exploring the unnoticed opportunities.
