Nurture International School, Dibrugarh joyfully celebrated Red Day on 20th February, 2026 with great enthusiasm and excitement. The celebration was organised by the Pre-Primary section, including the students of Playhouse, Nursery and KG.

The day began with a Special Assembly conducted by the little learners, where they confidently participated and showcased their talents. This was followed by a lively dance performance on a Red Day special song, which filled the atmosphere with energy and cheer.

To encourage creativity, the children took part in a Red-themed drawing activity, expressing their ideas beautifully through colours. The celebration also included a delightful Red Tiffin Sharing, where students brought and shared red-coloured food items, promoting the spirit of sharing and togetherness.

The day concluded with the screening of a Spiderman movie, which the children enjoyed immensely.

Overall, the celebration was colourful, engaging and educational, helping the young learners recognise the colour red while building confidence, creativity and social bonding.

Felicitation of Young Achievers and Their Parents

On January 28, 2026, and on February 14, 2026, Nurture International School, Dibrugarh, proudly organized a felicitation ceremony to honor two exceptional students of Class I, Miss Charvi Borah and Miss Saanvi Das, along with their parents, in recognition of their outstanding achievements in academics, sports, art, and cultural platforms. The occasion celebrated not only individual excellence but also the invaluable role played by parents in nurturing talent and values from a young age.

Miss Charvi Borah has brought great pride to the school by emerging as the India Topper (Gold Medalist) in the SilverZone International Olympiad of English Language 2025–26. She also secured a Silver Medal in the Science Olympiad 2025–26. Beyond academics, Charvi has showcased remarkable confidence and creativity, winning three district-level fashion shows in Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, and Jorhat, and was recently invited and awarded the title “Showstopper – Glamour Icon of Northeast 2026.” Her parents, Mr. Abhijit Borah and Mrs. Minakshi Chakradhar Borah, were felicitated for their constant encouragement and support in shaping her all-round development.

Miss Saanvi Das, another shining star of Class I, has demonstrated extraordinary versatility by excelling across academics, sports, art, and cultural competitions. She achieved a Gold Medal in the Akhil Bhartiya Hindi Olympiad 2025–26, securing State Rank 1, Zonal Rank 1, and Overall Olympiad Rank 1. She also earned a Bronze Medal in the International Olympiad of Mathematics 2025–26. Her achievements further include commendable performances in a Kids Mini Marathon, art competitions, and numerous state and regional fashion and cultural events, where she won several titles and accolades. Her parents, Mr. Chintu Das and Mrs. Jyotsna Dutta, were equally honored for their unwavering guidance and support.

During the ceremony, the Principal felicitated Miss Charvi Borah and Miss Saanvi Das with Fulam Gamusa and mementos as symbols of excellence and pride. In recognition of the pivotal role played by their parents, Fulam Gamusa and plant saplings were presented to their parents, reflecting gratitude, respect, and the school’s commitment to nurturing sustainable values.

The felicitation ceremony served as a source of inspiration for the entire school community, reinforcing the belief that dedication, discipline, and strong parental support lay the foundation for remarkable success. The school extends its heartfelt congratulations to the young achievers and their proud parents and wishes them continued success in all future endeavors.

*International Day for Women and Girls in Science*

The UGC Centre for Women’s Studies and the Department of Physics, Dibrugarh University, celebrated the International Day for Women and Girls in Science on 11th February, 2026 with competitions such as essay writing, poster making, and science model presentations based on the themes “Girls in STEM” and “She Belongs in Science.”

Various institutions from in and around Dibrugarh participated enthusiastically. The students of Nurture International School (NIS) took active part in all events and gained valuable exposure through interactions with experienced professors , who shared their insights and inspired the young minds.

Sai Sannvi Senapaty and Namrata Chetry of Class VIII were awarded the 1st prize for their innovative (working) model, "Smart Parking Assistance" powered by Robotics. Nilofer Hussain received the Best Poster Design award, while Chandanika Gogoi (Class VI) and Namrata Chetry (Class VIII) secured first and second positions respectively in essay writing.

The programme fostered scientific curiosity and motivated students, especially girls, to confidently pursue careers in STEM fields.

Waste Segregation Awareness Programme

Nurture International School, Dibrugarh, conducted a Waste Segregation Awareness Programme on February 5, 2026, organised by the Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation in collaboration with Srishti Waste Management Services to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility. Students were guided on proper waste segregation using colour-coded bins – green for wet waste, blue for dry waste, red for hazardous waste, and yellow for sanitary waste – emphasising the role of individual action in sustainable living. The programme reinforced the school’s commitment to fostering eco-conscious habits among students.
