The Centre for Management Studies (CMS) is the easternmost management institute of India and also among the youngest. It came into being with the formal notification of Dibrugarh University about the establishment of the Centre on November 25, 2002. The Dibrugarh University Campus is located at Rajabheta, spread over an area of 500 acres and is at a distance of 6 kms away from Dibrugarh Town (27°

29' North Latitude and 94° 55' East Longitude, Local Time is + 49 min 40 sec of IST)on National Highway No. 37. It is in the serene and natural surroundings full of greenery on a well-developed open area providing an excellent environment for the pursuit of knowledge and development of mental horizons.

The Centre organised a condolence meeting today to pay respects to the departed soul of Late Jainuddin Ahmed who expired on August 19, 2026 at New Delhi. He was a senior Advocate of Dibrugarh and taught Business Law to many of the Centre's UG and PG students.He was am integral part of the Centre, especially in its initial years. May his soul rest in peace.

Partha Pratim Konwar of the BBA 2026 Batch got the first position in the Reel Making Competition of the Assimilation Week 2026 organized by Dibrugarh University. The theme was "Dibrugarh University: A Global Perspective for Higher Education '.

Ishika Das of the BBA 2024 Batch secured the 1st position in the Poster Making Competition. The theme was 'Climate Change'.

Mr. Bhaskar Hazarika interacted with the MBA (FT) 2026 and BBA 2024 Batch students today. He is an accomplished technocrat, entrepreneur and tea industry leader. He holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and worked with Micron Technology and Eastman Kodak. Currently, he runs the family tea business and is credited with developing Hookhmol as a premium Assam tea brand.
