WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh, celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and teachers. The programme commenced during the morning assembly. After the prayer, the significance of the day was explained by our teacher, Deep Dutta. A melodious song on nature and environmental awareness was presented by the students of Class X, followed by a thought-provoking skit on environmental protection performed by the students of Class V. At the end of the programme, the vote of thanks was proposed by our teacher, Sovik Ghosh.
Various activities were organized for the students to create awareness about environmental conservation:

Primary Section Activities
• Balvatika I: Fruit-themed costumes made from paper cut-outs.
• Balvatika II: Finger-dip tree colouring activity.
• Balvatika III: Making flowers using paper petals.
• Classes I & II: Pasting pictures of items obtained from trees.
• Class III: Making eco-friendly crowns.
• Class IV: Designing badges with environmental messages.
• Class V: Drama on environmental protection.

House-wise Competitions (Classes VI–XII)
• Classes VI & VII: Decorative hanging flower pots made from used plastic bottles.
• Classes VIII, IX & X: House Board Decoration based on different environmental themes.
• Classes XI & XII: Photography Exhibition.

The celebration provided students with an opportunity to understand their responsibility towards protecting the environment and inspired them to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.

Today, 06 June 2026, Mr. Soumyadeep Datta, writer, Director of Nature’s Beckon, member of the Project Elephant Steering Committee, Government of India, and a renowned birder, conducted an enlightening session on bird conservation at our school.

The session was truly enriching and enjoyable. Mr. Datta shared many fascinating facts about the lives, behaviours and unique characteristics of birds and animals. He beautifully connected these observations from nature to important life lessons, highlighting values such as teamwork, adaptability, discipline and compassion. The session was highly interactive, filled with engaging discussions, thought-provoking questions and interesting anecdotes from the natural world.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh, observed the auspicious occasion of Sri Sri Madhavdev Tithi in the school premises during the morning assembly with great reverence.

The programme commenced with regular school prayer followed by a speech highlighting the life, teachings and contributions of Sri Sri Madhavdev to Assamese society, literature and culture delivered by a student of Class VII. As part of the observance, a soulful Borgeet was presented by a group of students of classes VII to X.
The programme concluded on a devotional note, inspiring students to learn from the life and values of Sri Sri Madhavdev.

Mananeeya Hanumantarao ji's visit to VKV Dibrugarh

Mananeeya Hanumantarao ji, All India Vice President of VRM&VK Kanyakumari, visited VKV Dibrugarh today and interacted with students of classes X-XII.

He elaborated very lucidly about the goal of life and steps one should take to realise the goals.

Adararaniya Alka Gauri didi and Pompha didi were also present on the occasion.

A proud moment for Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh as the toppers and subject toppers of Classes X & XII (Session 2025–26) were felicitated on 21st May 2026.

The programme began with the chanting of Omkaras and Mangalacharan, followed by the welcome address by Principal Shri Achintya Goswami. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Mananeeya Kunjalata Deori, Retired Professor of Delhi College of Engineering (currently Delhi Technological University), Physics Department, Nagar Sanchalika, Vivekananda Kendra Dibrugarh and Vidyalaya VMC Member.

The toppers were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Principal Sir, and Senior Teacher Deepa Bora Didi. Students also shared their experiences, dedication, and hard work behind their success. The programme concluded with Shanti Path.

Echoes of devotion and culture filled the atmosphere! 🎶🙏

At Ramakrishna Mission Dibrugarh, our students-Devgopal Bora, Padmashri Das, and Nirvanan Deka Baruah -- mesmerized the audience with a soulful Borgeet Paribeshan in the august presence of Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, President of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.

The presentation was gracefully guided by Shri Manik Chandra Borah, Assistant Teacher, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh.
