The school was founded in the year 1965 as a part of Education Policy of Heavy Engineeing Corporation Ltd, a PSU started in Jagannath Nagar, Ranchi to impart quality education to the wards of Officers/Employees working in HEC.The school was known as " English Medium School" and it was the only school of English medium among 7-9 hindi medium schools established by HEC administration.
