Synergy Institute Welcomes New B.Tech Students

Synergy Institute of Engineering & Technology, Dhenkanal, organised an Orientation Programme for the newly admitted B.Tech first-year students on 17 August 2026 within the Institute premises. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students along with their parents.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp accompanied by Sloka chanting, followed by a welcome song and the BPUT Anthem. Director Dr. P. K. Nayak and Director (Administration) Dr. I. Mohanty warmly welcomed the new students and encouraged them to make the best use of the opportunities available at the Institute.
The Heads of Departments of CSE, EE, ME, CE, Mathematics, Chemistry and English introduced their respective departments and guided the students about academics, career opportunities and campus life. Trustee Er. Ajay Ku. Sahu advised the students to remain focused, work sincerely and continuously develop their knowledge and professional skills.
Chairman and Managing Trustee Shri Binod Dash, who presided over the programme, encouraged the students to aim for excellence while maintaining discipline, integrity and good character. He advised them to use their years at Synergy to build strong professional skills and prepare themselves to face future challenges with confidence.
Dr. J. Singh, Controller of Examination; Dr. L. D. Samanta, Hostel Warden; Prof. S. R. Dash, Placement Officer; Prof. Kalpana Sahu, ED Cell; A. K. Jena, Chief Security Officer; and Mr. Chandrakanta Mishra, Administrative Officer, briefed the students about the various academic, examination, hostel, placement, training, security and administrative facilities available at the Institute.
An interactive session with alumni and senior students was one of the highlights of the programme. Alumni members shared their professional experiences and motivated the freshers to become confident, independent and career-focused.
Parents expressed their satisfaction with the programme and appreciated the detailed orientation provided by the Institute. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. J. Momin.
The successful programme was coordinated by Prof. Smruti Ranjan Dash, Coordinator, Cultural Committee, with the active support of faculty members, staff and student volunteers.
