📚🚲 Bicycle Distribution Programme – 08 January 2026
As part of the Assam Government’s initiative to promote education and reduce dropout rates, our school successfully distributed free bicycles to 96 Class IX students on 08/01/2026 under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma
This scheme aims to make daily commuting safer and easier for students, especially those from rural areas, thereby improving attendance, enrollment, and continuity in education. The programme reflects the government’s strong commitment to ensuring that no child’s education is hindered by financial hardship.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Government of Assam and the Directorate of Secondary Education for this meaningful support towards empowering students and strengthening the education system.

We are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Shri Nishant Parajuli, PGT History, a dedicated educator and a wonderful human being.
He was not only a knowledgeable History teacher but also a versatile, inspiring, and compassionate mentor who touched the lives of students and colleagues through his teaching, creativity, and positive spirit. His contribution to the institution and the education fraternity will always be remembered with respect and gratitude.
Though he is no longer with us physically, his values, lessons, and memories will continue to live on in our hearts.
🙏 May his noble soul rest in eternal peace.

📚 Educational Trip to Sivasagar (Ahom Kingdom)

Organised by: Tourism & Hospitality (NSQF) Department, Jonai Higher Secondary School

Our students had the wonderful opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage, history and architecture of the Ahom Kingdom — including Ranghar, Talatal Ghar, Kareng Ghar, Shiva Doul, Jaysagar Tank, Rudrasagar Park, museums and cultural programs.

This trip was not just travel — it was a meaningful learning experience full of observation, interaction and practical exposure.

Thank you to all students, volunteers and supporters for making this trip successful. 🌿✨

Three-Day Craft Demonstration cm Awareness Programme Begins at Jonai

A three-day Craft Demonstration cm Awareness Programme, organized by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India in collaboration with the District Industries and Commerce Centre (DICC), Jorhat, commenced on 4th August 2025 and will continue till 6th August 2025. The event is being held at the Auditorium of Jonai Higher Secondary School.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Circle Development Officer (CDC), Jonai Sub-Division, who officially inaugurated the event. Among the distinguished guests present were:

NESIDS stands for North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme. It is a Central Sector Scheme approved by the Government of India in 2017 to support infrastructure development in the North Eastern Region. The scheme provides 100% central funding project for Jonai higher secondary school
