Dear all Bosconians,
As we have concluded the Golden Jubilee celebration of our school, I would like to offer my deepest thanks to the entire Don Bosco fraternity, each n everyone who participated in the event and all those who got involved with the program some way or the other.
It all started 2 years back when the formal committee of the DBHS Alumni Association was formed. And since day one, as the President of the Committee, I myself, along with the other members tried to work with heart n soul to make the occasion a successful one. The journey was tough, there were hurdles and constraints on the path like raising of funds, finding out & contacting the old batches etc. Sleepless nights were spent in designing and grooming the program, suggestions and opinions were taken from the seniors and experienced ones. Batch representatives were chosen and responsibility was conferred to them accordingly. It is the cooperation and support of all the outgoing batches and seniors that gave us the strength & motivation to conduct such a grand event.
My sincere thanks and gratitude to all the passed out batches and all the patrons for their monetary contributions without which we couldn't have organized such a grand event. I thank and congratulate the office bearers and members of the celebration committee for their constant and tireless effort in the entire journey. I also thank my own batchmates (1993) who stood beside me at all the time.
The Don Bosco High School Silapathar, one of the prestigious institutions in this part of the globe, has been playing a major role in imparting quality education for the last 50 glorious years. I feel myself fortunate enough to be associated with this institution and I believe, it is a matter of pride n honor for all of us to take part in its Golden Jubilee celebration. I thank the present Principal Fr. Augustine Joseph for his relentless effort in making the occasion a successful one. No words will be sufficient to express our respect and gratitude to all the former and present Fathers, Sisters, Brothers and School teachers who have flowed their sweat n blood in giving the present shape to this institution. It is because of their effort that today we reached this point of celebrating the 50 years of its existence.
Lastly, I bow my head to the people of Greater Silapathar for their constant trust and faith in this institution. It is also because of them that we reached this juncture of celebrating an event like Golden Jubilee. There are miles to go for this institution and many more milestones to achieve. Tomorrow we may not be there but the legacy has to be carried forward by the next generation to come. I am sure the flag of DBHS Silapathar will always fly high in times to come.
Thank you everyone.
Long live DBHS Silapathar.
With regards
Mohan Regon
