Left-Handers
Left Handers Day is a fun day to celebrate how special everyone is! Some children like to use their left hand more, while others use their right hand. Both are wonderful and make us unique. Today, we will enjoy some exciting games using our left hand and see how smart and strong our hands are!
Activity for Playgroup
1. Left-Hand Treasure Scoop
Materials: Large bowl with pom-poms, soft balls + small tray
Children scoop and transfer items using only their left hand.
Variation: Use big spoons or hands directly.
Activity for Nursery
Sponge Squeeze Race
Material required:
Bowls, water, sponge (the quantity of material should be as per the class strength)
Two bowls: one with water, one empty.
Children transfer water using a sponge in their left hand.
Develops grip strength.
Activity for Junior KG
Tweezer Transfer Challenge
Material required: small blocksor small beads and tweezers, small trays
Use child-safe tweezers in left hand to transfer large beads or blocks in a tray.
Activity for Senior KG
Clip & Hang Station
Clip clothespins onto a string using left hand only.
