हिंदी हिंदुस्तान की मातृभाषा ही नहीं यह राष्ट्र की अस्मिता और गौरव का भी प्रतीक है. हर साल 14 सितंबर को हिंदी दिवस मनाया जाता है. वर्ष 1949 में हिंदी को संविधान सभा द्वारा भारत की राजभाषा के तौर पर स्वीकार किया गया था. जिसे सबसे पहले 14 सितंबर 1953 को मनाना शुरू किया गया. उसके बाद से ही इसे हर वर्ष मनाया जाता है. सरल, सहजता और संवेदनशील हिंदी भारत की शान है.

Teej Celebration2023

We at RBS believe that celebrating festivals in their true spirit goes a long way towards connecting students with Indian traditions. With this motivation and to experience the spirit of saawan, our RBSians celebrated Teej with great fervour on Friday, August, 2023. Teej refers to the 'Monsoon Festival'. This festival celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of clouds and rain, greenery and birds, rituals and customs. Students made colourful kites, the mehndi adorned palms of the girls. *Happy and joyous Teej to all!*

To educate people about the best practices to protect our natural resources teachers discussed with the students the importance of natural conservation. Students wrote slogans, poems, and posters to highlight the importance.

The aim was to propagate awareness amongst our children the importance of nurturing our Nature for a promising and better future. After all, a small group of thoughtful, committed responsible little citizens can change the world.

*Field trip to Nursery*
A field trip to the nursery was organised for the students of grade III and IV. The students were briefed that the nursery has a collection of a range of plants and beautiful flowers.Children observed and explored variety of shrubs,cactus,creepers,herbs palm,fruits,and colourful flowers.
This field trip sensitized the students towards caring for the environment and the importance of planting more trees.

The visit was a revalidation of how experiential learning can be used to inculcate in the students respect for nature.

Rhyme is a beautiful way to express something through innocent words and actions in a melody with all smiles and giggles. Rhyme recitation is an art of expression of thoughts and understanding of English literature. This was displayed beautifully by the students of Grade Nursery to UKG when they participated in the English Rhyme Competition, organized by RBS Memorial School. They enthralled everyone with their articulation and memory skills while reciting rhymes. It was an excellent opportunity for them to gain confidence through stage exposure. Everyone was amazed and spellbound after seeing their pleasing performances.

*"Great stories happen to them who can tell them”*

Story telling is at the heart of life. It is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today. It not only boosts the language skills but expands the imagination and improves listening skills of the young students. A Hindi Story Telling Competition was organised by RBS Memorial School , for the students of grade I to III.
Children presented their stories with various props, finger puppets, charts, pictures, creative gestures and facial expressions. The appropriate use of voice modulation and body language infused passion, enhanced imagination and expression and introduced children to new horizons of storytelling. It was an interactive session where the young souls were encouraged for creative thinking.

Heartiest congratulations to the ISRO team and everyone who worked relentlessly to accomplish the feat! It demonstrates the nation's unwavering commitment to advancement in space science and technology. Our best wishes for the success of the lunar mission."
This momentous achievement is a testament to our scientists' relentless dedication. We, salute their spirit and ingenuity.

Colors fill our lives with happiness and joy. Each colour has its own identity which helps them to stand out unique in its form. This time, the colour GREEN emerged as the showstopper for the kids and created an everlasting impression in the minds of the tiny tots.

The colour green is associated with renewal nature, energy, freshness, fertility and environment. The kids were enthralled with the colour formation of green and the importance of having a green environment. The little enthusiasts were excited to participate in the finger printing activity. They jumped with joy in the harmony of rhymes. All together, the event was amazingly wonderful.

Paper Bag Day was celebrated at RBS Memorial School, in which children were made aware about the harmful effect of plastic bags on the environment. The students from classes III- VIII participated in this event with full zeal and enthusiasm. The little ones made newspaper bags in different designs. Slogans were written by grade VI-VIII students on ‘Say No to Plastic Bags’.
Our Principal, Ms Anita ma'am, appreciated the efforts of the students and made the students aware about the perilous impact plastic has on the environment and living beings.

RBS Memorial School always thrives to cater to all round development of their students.
The main focus of the school has always been on improving the soft skills among the students. With this intention in mind an Inter House Speech Competition was held for the students of grade VI-VIII on the topic Population in Hindi.
The participants delivered their speeches with great confidence and left no stone unturned to give in their best. They were judged on the criteria of content, pronunciation, presentation and confidence.The students showed great fervour and poise in their respective presentations. Congratulations to the winners 🏆

RBS Memorial School, organised an *Inter House Hindi Grammar Quiz Competition* for grade III - V. The purpose of this competition was to test the students’ knowledge of Hindi grammar and improve their language skills.

The competition was held between four houses, namely, Samarpan, Shardha, Neeti, Sanyam .

All the teams performed remarkably well and exhibited excellent teamwork, knowledge, and enthusiasm.

Overall, this quiz competition was a great success and provided an opportunity for the students to showcase their grammar skills and knowledge. The competition not only enhanced their knowledge but also instilled a sense of healthy competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship in them.

After a relaxed vacation with the spirits held high RBS School has reopened after summer break. The students came filled with excitement and teachers welcomed them with a big smile. The excitement and euphoria present in the air could be felt by one and all.

*International Yoga Day 2023*

*“Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”* is the theme for this year’s International Yoga Day 2023, which beautifully captures our shared aspiration for “One Earth, One Family, and One Future.”

The purpose of International Yoga Day is to raise awareness of yoga as a form of exercise and of its all-encompassing approach to mental and physical health.
Keeping this in mind students of RBS School performed various asanas to bring out the importance of yoga in serving better mental health practices in our lives.

*World Day Against Child Labour 2023*
World Day Against Child Labour, observed on June 12, aims to inspire a global movement against child labour. With the slogan “Social Justice for All. End Child Labour!” in 2023, it highlights the connection between social justice and the eradication of child labour.
Future of the nation relies upon the opportunities we provide to our children. On , let's commit ourselves to uproot the inhuman practice of and create a conducive climate for them to shine and prosper.

Alphabets are comprised of vowels and consonants.To enhance the concept of vowel and consonants an activity was conducted for grade III students. Through this activity students learnt about the difference between vowels and consonants and their significance in the English Language. They were made aware of the common mistakes and exceptions that they should avoid while using them.

Games and outdoor activities are integral part of a child’s life. These are essential for their proper growth and strengthening of muscles. Children
who are involved in games are more proactive in class activities.

Our Nursery-UKG students of RBS Memorial School, got the opportunity to breathe in fresh oxygen and enjoy playing outside during the Outdoor Games Activity that was conducted for them.
