First Parent–Teacher Meeting Held
9 May 2026: The school hosted its first Parent–Teacher Meeting of the year on 9 May 2026. The event aimed to provide parents with personalized insights into their children’s growth and to create a platform for meaningful dialogue to support students’ success. As expected, a fair number of parents attended the function at Dickyi Tsering Hall at 9:00 a.m.
The School Director, Tsultrim Dorjee, delivered the opening speech, highlighting the significance of the occasion and inviting active cooperation from parents. He clearly explained the formal leave-taking procedures and school discouraged parents from taking their children leave school unnecessarily, as prolonged absence could affect academic progress. He also encouraged parents to help their children set goals and continue motivating them towards success. In addition, he highlighted important school rules outlined in the school diary.
The School Principal, Tenzin Choekyi, addressed the gathering by introducing the mission of Tibetan Children’s Village and explaining how the school fulfills its objectives through various academic and co-curricular programs conducted throughout the year. She further emphasized how collaboration between parents and teachers can help shape a child’s future.
A short video presentation was screened, offering a glimpse of the renovation of the classroom complex and the installation of additional digital infrastructure to support education in alignment with the National Education Policy. She mentioned how the facility is being used for effective teaching and expressed a deep gratitude and appreciation to the sponsors: Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration, Johns Hopkins Hospital through Dr. Kunchok, American Embassy School, and other donors.
Following the formal function, parents met with teachers along with their children at venues assigned by the respective section heads of the Senior, Junior, and Infant sections. The interactions continued until lunch at 2:00 p.m.
The meeting concluded with lunch at Dickyi Tsering Hall. The conference served as an important opportunity to further strengthen the relationship between teachers and parents.
