This Yoga Day, our Goenkans embraced the ancient wisdom of yoga – breathing in peace, stretching towards balance, and grounding themselves in mindfulness. From Surya Namaskar at sunrise to calming meditation sessions, our students learned that yoga is not just exercise, it’s a way of life.

* Our skating champs lit up the rink at the Inter-School Skating Competition organised by Kangra Skating Association!

With 23 medals total , Our students showed incredible speed, skill, and spirit across all age groups.

Months of hard work paid off, and we couldn't be prouder of every skater who represented the school. A big thanks to our coach Mr Sunny and the Kangra Skating Association for a fantastic event that’s building the future of skating in Himachal!

*Cervical Cancer Awareness & Vaccination Workshop at GD Goenka*

This past Saturday, GD Goenka hosted an impactful Cervical Cancer Awareness and Vaccination workshop for young girls, led by *Dr. Shubham* and *CHO Ms. Meenakshi*, with support from *two dedicated ASHA workers*.

The session focused on breaking the stigma around cervical cancer, educating students on prevention, early detection, and the importance of HPV vaccination. Dr. Shubham explained the facts in clear, accessible terms and addressed common myths and encouraged proactive health choices. Team helped create a comfortable space for open questions and shared vital information about local healthcare resources.

It was empowering to see young girls engaging, asking questions, and taking charge of their health. Early awareness + vaccination = a healthier future.

A big thank you to Dr. Shubham, CHO Ms. Meenakshi, our ASHA team, and GD Goenka for making this session possible.

इस वर्ष की थीम _“योग से एक पृथ्वी, एक स्वास्थ्य”_ को साकार करते हुए, श्री रजनेश कुमार जी ने बच्चों को योग का महत्व, सरल जीवनशैली और पौधारोपण द्वारा पर्यावरण संरक्षण के व्यावहारिक उपाय सिखाए।

विद्यार्थियों ने आसन, प्राणायाम और ध्यान के साथ-साथ यह भी सीखा कि योग केवल व्यायाम नहीं, बल्कि जीवन जीने की कला है। श्री रजनेश कुमार जी, जो परम् पूज्य स्वामी रामदेव जी महाराज के सानिध्य में 640+ योग शिविर लगा चुके हैं, ने बच्चों में स्वस्थ भारत के निर्माण का संकल्प भी जगाया।

*Disaster Preparedness Workshop by SDRF at GD Goenka School*

GD Goenka School Dharamshala hosted a Disaster Preparedness Workshop led by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). The session combined hands-on training with clear safety guidelines from the experts, including

1) Live CPR demonstration by SDRF officials.

2)Choking response

3)How to make quick strtcher with whatever around.

*Key guidelines shared by the SDRF:*
1. *Drop, Cover, Hold On* during tremors
2. *Evacuation using planned routes* without rushing
3. *CPR demo*+ Choking help = life savers
4. *Stay calm, help others, wait for help*

Huge thanks to the SDRF personnel for the training and practical demos. *Prepared today, safer tomorrow.*

Drawing from his background in engineering, corporate experience, and years of study of the Bhagavad Gita, he blended practical tools with timeless wisdom to help students understand themselves better and face challenges with clarity and calm.

The sessions focused on real-life application, building focus, and developing a stronger sense of purpose during these formative years.
