We the TCSA Dharmanagar branch strongly condemn the use of the sacred image of Lord Buddha in a bar setting such as β€œHappiest Hour.” This act is deeply disrespectful and hurtful to the sentiments of millions of Buddhist followers who revere Lord Buddha as a symbol of peace, wisdom, and enlightenment.

Using such a sacred image in an inappropriate environment, especially in a place associated with alcohol consumption, is not only insensitive but also undermines the religious and cultural values of the Buddhist community. This kind of action cannot be accepted under any circumstances.

We urge the concerned authorities to take immediate legal action against those responsible and ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future. Respect for all religions and their sacred symbols must be upheld at all times.

We call upon the management of β€œHappiest Hour” to immediately remove the image and issue a public apology to the Buddhist community.

Any act that hurts religious sentiments and disturbs communal harmony must be addressed strictly and without delay.

Last Monday night Sugam was critically injured in a tragic car accident when he went back home from Chawmanu. Currently He's in a very serious condition with multiple head and brain internal injuries.
