ASME IIT ISM Dhanbad Student Chapter ASME IIT(ISM) Student Section is a college chapter recognized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers working in the campus of IIT(ISM) Dhanbad.

ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) is a not-for-profit membership organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, career enrichment, and skills development across all engineering disciplines, toward a goal of helping the global engineering community develop solutions to benefit lives and livelihoods. Founded in 1880 by a small group of leading industrialists, ASME has

grown through the decades to include more than 140,000 members in 151 countries. Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Dhanbad, was formally opened on 9th December 1926 by Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India. Since its inception to present it has flourished into a multi-disciplinary, nationally and internationally acclaimed premier institution of higher technical and scientific education. ASME IIT(ISM) Student Section was established in ISM in 2011 with a sole aim of working hand in gloves with ASME to elevate academic excellence and promote long lasting relationships with global engineering community by fostering an environment inclined towards quality research, industrial collaborations and professional conferences.

**Dates has been extended.

This post is to inform all the 3rd & 2nd year students of Mechanical Engineering & Mining Machinery Department that the selection process to appoint the council members of ASME IIT(ISM) Dhanbad student chapter for the new session is going to be conducted soon.The council will consist of 3rd year students and concerned posts are-
1.Chairperson
2.Vice Chairperson
3.Secretary
4.Treasurer
5.Corporate Executive
6.Event Manager
7.Web Content Developer.

A team of 2nd year students will also be selected simultaneously for the same posts who will be working as associates and subsequently be appointed in the next council.

# heed the fact that the selection criteria will be solely based on the interviews and hence all the students ,regardless of their association with the ASME fraternity and its activities,are exhorted to participate.

One can apply only for one post.Students who are interested,kindly fill the Google form attached herewith latest by 8 p.m 06/04/2017.Further details will be mailed to the interested students accordingly.
