We, ASME IIT(ISM) Student Section, are here with our recruitment drive for all the first-year students.

ASME is a not-for-profit professional association, and as its student chapter of IIT(ISM), Dhanbad is notably dedicated and focused on learning and exploring more. We shall dive deep into the interdisciplinary world and collaborate with like-minded peers and professionals.

"Tears of a mother cannot save her child. But your Blood can!"

Firstly, ASME IIT ISM Student Chapter would like to extend our warm greetings to everyone who is stopping by this post. We are trying to inculcate this idea of Donating Blood to save lives in the minds of the students, who are the future of the country. Students have the ability to bring about a change in the society by destroying the myths about Blood Donation, and we, as the members of ASME IIT ISM STUDENT Chapter, in collaboration with Fast Forward India, are leading from the front.

Fast Forward India is an IIT ISM based NGO, which has been spreading awareness about Blood Donation for years, by arranging numerous Blood Donation Camps. This time, the camp is being held in collaboration with ASME IIT ISM Student Chapter, on May 1st, from 9AM to 5PM.

Many hospitals all over the nation are facing an immense shortage of blood. It has therefore become our responsibility to donate blood, and ensure that not a single patient suffers because of blood crisis. Hence, we request every capable donor to visit Health Center, IIT ISM DHANBAD, and also to advise and motivate your peers, make them understand the importance of Donating Blood, and make this Camp a huge success.
Remember one thing, " Every Drop Counts."

ASME IIT ISM STUDENT SECTION extends the heartiest congratulations to all the winners of the treasure hunt event. We hope that every single explorer had fun during the event and gained both experience and good memories. We thank all the 300+ participants who made this event the success it was.

Hello Everyone!!

ASME IIT(ISM) Student Section is elated to announce their engineering product development event Feeding Sharks.

An event that allows everyone to compete and learn about different levels and aspects of product making from initial design to final production. The registration starts on 3rd April 2022 up till 22nd April 2022.

Feeding Sharks is a four-stage event:

⚙️ Model/CAD Presentation

⚙️ Final Prototype Development

⚙️ Pitch the Product

Participants stand a chance to win from a prize pool of Rs 20,000/-

Holi is a festival that every child and grown-up awaits in India.

Some are merely mesmerized by the play of colours, Gulaal or pichkari. Others wait for the delicacies, the aroma that our house is filled with, then there are some who wait to meet the friends and family they haven't met for so long and some even see this as a break from their busy and monotonous life.

But eventually to every house this festival means joy and togetherness. Where we let go of all the bitterness and welcome everyone in the festivities of Holi to be reminisced forever.

On this auspicious and delightful day ASME IIT(ISM) Student Section wishes you a very happy and joyous Holi.

We, ASME IIT(ISM) Student Section, are looking for UI/UX Designers and Web Developers to onboard our Website Development Team and develop an interactive and impressive ASME IIT(ISM) Student Section Website.

ASME IIT(ISM) Student Section works towards interdisciplinary engineering. A group of ISM students dedicated to learning more about recent technological advancements, sharing the knowledge, delving deeper into their technical interests and getting associated with like-minded peers and professionals.

The prerequisite demands are minimal- One should know about UI/UX designing or Web development and have a knack to make and break until a unique product is ready. We invite all the interested candidates to fill out the attached form before 22 March 2022.

Women have had significant roles in all walks of life and certainly without them no field prospers to its peak.

But as we know the beginnings are always the most difficult part and so it has been for women to get into and make a name for themselves , and simultaneously encourage forth comers to pursue STEM and allied fields.

The theme for this year is "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow", a theme that captures the idea and aspiration of the hour. There has been a call for more and more women participation in STEM fields, not just for sake of gender equality; but for defying the idea that any field is rough enough for anyone.

Today on Women's day we bring to you a glimpse on India's female firsts in various fields and their exceptional achievements. ASME IIT ISM Student Section wishes you a very Happy Women's Day.
