इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन "कोयला एवं खनिज प्रसंस्करण समूह एवं एचआरडी, सिंफर " के द्वारा SCCL के अधिकारियों के लिए किया जा रहा है ।

During his visit, Prof. Singh also visited the unique facilities at CSIR-CIMFR and appreciated the innovative research and development work being carried out at the institute.

CSIR-CIMFR organized a one-day program on “Foldscope Microscope” Under CSIR-JIGYASA on 13 March 2026 at Barwa Road Campus, Dhanbad, for 28 students along with 2 teachers from Sanskriti Vidya Mandir High School, Digwadih.
Dr. Pallabi Das, Nodal Officer (Jigyasa), introduced the CSIR-JIGYASA programme and demonstrated the low-cost Foldscope microscope. Students also participated in a hands-on activity, assembling Foldscopes and observing samples like onion peel and hair.
The program was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Dilip Kumbhakar, Head HRD with support from CSIR-CIMFR volunteers.

कार्यक्रम की मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में बीएसके कॉलेज, मैथन (धनबाद) की एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर सुश्री निशिता खलखो ने उपस्थित श्रोताओ को पॉश अधिनियम के विभिन्न प्रावधानों और इसके महत्व के बारे में महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी प्रदान की।

CSIR-CIMFR, Dhanbad inaugurated a four-day Skill Development Program on “Precise Surveying Using Modern Equipment” during February 17-20, 2026 for final-year students of Government Polytechnic Bhaga and Government Polytechnic Dhanbad.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Arvind Kumar Mishra, Director, CSIR-CIMFR, highlighted the vital role of precise surveying in mining, civil engineering, infrastructure development, and even advanced fields like satellite launching.
An expert lecture was delivered by Dr. Amar Prakash, Scientist–G, CSIR-CIMFR. The session was further enriched by the presence of Er. Amarnath, Scientist–G; Mr. Dilip Kumbhakar, Scientist–G; and Dr. Jitendra Kumar Singh, Senior Technical Officer.
With 25 enthusiastic students participating, the initiative reinforces CSIR-CIMFR’s commitment to bridging academia and industry by nurturing innovation, practical expertise, and career readiness.

This interaction focuses on controlled blasting techniques for formation cutting and road construction in Himalayan territory, along with case studies related to strategic projects of BRO conducted by CSIR-CIMFR. The participants were accompanied by Prof. B. S. Choudhary, Head of the Department of Mining Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad.

CSIR–Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR) inaugurated a five-day Executive Development Programme (EDP) titled “Theory and Practices of Rock Mechanics and Numerical Modelling in Underground Mining (ROCKNUM-2026).”
The inaugural function of the programme was held on 09 February 2026 at CIMFR Auditorium,
The programme witnessed participation of 34 mining professionals from leading mining Industries.
Shri Muralidhar Bidari, Deputy Director General (Central Zone), DGMS, honored the programme as the Chief Guest. Prof. D. D. Misra, Chairman of the Research Council, CSIR-CIMFR, graced the occasion as the Distinguished Guest. The event was steered under the leadership of Prof. Arvind Kumar Mishra, Director, CSIR-CIMFR, with Dr. Prabhat Kumar Mandal serving as the Programme Coordinator for ROCKNUM-2026.
