Deoria Senior Secondary School The School is the fulfillment of the long cherished dream of Dr. G. N. This school was established with 35 students of class - VII in 2003.

DEORIA SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL, DEORIA (Formerly : Deoria Girls College, Deoria), administered by Dr. Girish Naraian Gupta and looked after by Deoria Girls College Trust, is a premier English medium school of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Gupta and the response of the people of Deoria here to render quality education at higher level to the children studying. The school got NOC from the State Government o

n 30th July 2004 and affiliation to the CBSE Board AISCE in 2004. Considering the request of the various people of Deoria, the co-education system was introduced in primary section in 2004. In 2005, class IX was started and the first batch of class-X passed out in 2006-07 with good academic record. With a sole motive to improvise the education system of our city and around, Intermediate section was launched in 2007 and the first batch of class-XII passed out in 2008-09. Presently the school is running classes from K.G. to class-XII (with Science stream).

Our school celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with immense patriotism, fervor, and enthusiasm. The entire campus was decorated with tricolor flags, balloons, and vibrant rangolis, creating an atmosphere charged with national pride.
The event commenced at 9:00 AM with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag by the Honorable Chief Guest , school manager Mrs Kusum Gupta Ma'am & Mrs Tapasya ma'am, alongside the School Principal, followed by the unison singing of the National Anthem.
The Principal ma'am addressed the gathering, emphasizing the true meaning of freedom, the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, and the vital role of the youth in shaping India's future.
Cultural Performances:
Patriotic Songs: The school choir delivered a soulful medley of patriotic songs that captivated the audience.
Dance & Skit: Students performed a thematic dance drama depicting key moments of the freedom struggle and highlighting modern national achievements.
Representatives from senior secondary classes delivered inspiring speeches in both English and Hindi, focusing on responsibility, unity, and civic duty.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the principal ma'am, followed by the distribution of sweets among all students and staff. The event succeeded in rekindling a strong sense of pride and commitment to the nation in every heart present... Jai Hind Jai Bharat!

The school organized its Annual Felicitation Ceremony to honor and celebrate the outstanding achievements of students in academics for the academic year 2025-26. The event served as a platform to recognize hard work, inspire peers, and foster a culture of excellence within the school community. The event commenced at 11:30 AM with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Dr Ram Jiavan Maurya sir the basic Shiksha Adhikari of Deoria, the school manager,Mrs Kusum Gupta Ma'am ,Mr Jinesh Gupta sir, accompanied by the Principal ma'am and senior faculty members, followed by Saraswat Vandana . The Principal Ma'am delivered the opening speech, welcoming the guests, parents, and students while emphasizing the importance of perseverance, discipline, and holistic development.
The Chief Guest congratulated the achievers, highlighting that success is a journey of continuous effort, and encouraged students to remain curious and grounded.
Top rankers from class 10 & 12 grade received medals and certificates of merit and cash reward (cheque) Honour given to Ms Apoorva for clearing Bihar PCS and Ms Ayushika for clearing UPPCS( who was absent that day due to the official trip)...

They beautifully designed colourful rainbow models using craft materials such as colou paper, cotton, and chart paper. SCHOOL INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The school’s annual Investiture Ceremony was celebrated with great solemnity and dignity, marking the official induction of the new Student Council for the academic session. The event served to formally entrust responsibilities to the newly elected student leaders, inspiring them to lead their peers with integrity, governance, and institutional pride.
A traditional, auspicious start was marked by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, invoking blessings for the new academic year and the student leaders.
The newly appointed student council members—including the Head Boy, Head Girl, sport captains, cultural incharge, editorial members Discipline incharge and House Captains -marched proudly to the dais. They were conferred with their formal sashes and badges of office by the dignitaries.
