The International Institute of Cosmic Sciences (IICS) is about to commence work on 05 documentary films on the topics of religion, cinema and politics, and in this regard invites applications from interested candidates for the post of Research Assistant. The duration of the project would be around 6-8 months. The research work to be done will include data collection and review of literature, as well as networking with some academicians from universities in Delhi. Salary offered will be based on past work experience and is negotiable.

WORLD MILK DAY ..............SINCE 1ST JUNE 2001

Since the establishment of the world milk day in the year 2001, it is widely celebrated throughout the world, with the increasing number of participating countries. Milk is considered as the global food with a variety of its products. The day is celebrated for acknowledging and publicizing the activities related to the milk and milk industries. And also to increase the common public awareness about all aspects of the natural milk, such as its natural origin, milk nutritional value and various milk products including its economic importance throughout the globe.
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations took the initial step for celebrating the day as the world milk day. Making the important of milk under the umbrella of sustainable development by enhancing quality of milk product and to increase it.

22nd May is celebrated as International Day for Biodiversity. The human race is exploring the planet (earth) for many thousand years, along with various species depending on the planet for the survival and livelihood. With the increasing demand of the non-renewable resource, this is depleting, and extinctions species day-by-day. Which comes well within the spotlight of UN.
This year the day is going to be celebrated with the theme: - Mainstreaming Biodiversity; Sustaining People and their Livelihoods
Making the concept of sustainable development in all the areas of activity, including economic areas, including economic sectors such as agriculture, forestry, fisheries and tourism. Halting of biodiversity loss makes human being invested with well-being, life and people.
