Thrive Seed brings education to children and women's empowerment programs to those from less fortunate backgrounds in New Delhi, India. PROJECTS:

1. Jyoti.

In 2003, Thrive Seed honourable members Mr. Ravinder Singh & His wife Mrs. Kaur (Sonu) started teaching some of the underprivileged children in their community in Baljeet Nagar. They needed education, hope and a positive influence. They have provided more than 500 children with educational opportunities

, and wants the project to keep growing. Thrive Seed School in Baljeet Nagar
This school is mostly attended by children who are attending government schools, but as the education given is not always the best, our school provides them with a second source of education. We have morning classes for the junior students, run by Sushmita & Bhawana; and evening classes for our senior students, run by Preeti and Rani (Sayma).

2. School in Nehru Nagar
This school is mostly attended by children who are not getting any other kind of education. The classes are run in the morning & evening by Mrs. Except Mrs. Jyoti; all teachers are beneficiaries of Thrive Seed.

3. Women's Empowerment Project
In our women's empowerment program we teach women skills such as sewing and tailoring which is a small step towards giving them more freedom and confidence. The class is run by Reshu in Nehru Nagar Slum and Mrs. Aarti in Baljeet Nagar Slum. We also gives counselling to the women in the various issues that they are facing. VOLUNTEERING:
In both our schools, the teachers and the children benefit from assistance. It is also great for the children to be able to learn about different cultures, and knowing they are able to talk with people from all over the world gives them confidence. FUNDING:
To pay the school rent, the teachers a small fee, and to be able to provide the children with books, pencils etc. we need funds. Our donations come from friends, family, and previous volunteers. With more funds our project would be able to grow. We are looking for sponsors to help us reach as many children as possible. AIMS:
We aim to establish and maintain caring and nurturing learning environments where children from less fortunate backgrounds are given the opportunity to learn and develop essential skills and attributes to better their own futures, and those of their communities. Free Community Kitchen :

If you are interested to volunteer in India and experience Indian culture,food and tradition staying with Indian family then contact us.

How can you help
1 :- by teaching English, basic computer and basic mathematics to the children in primary level.

2:- If you know extra activities like yoga ,dance, sports, photography,Art and Craft will be very helpful to teach the children at school.

3:- If you are interested in cooking and learning indian recipes then you can help in free community kitchen project.

4:- If you are good in counseling then be a counselor to our young children and women to choose the correct path ways for their better future.

You will be not only volunteering ,you will be helping us to sustain the projects to support food and education to the underprivileged children living in the slums who are involved in child labour.

We have many new children joining us and we need more helping hands to support these all children .

As with the time some of our sponsors are now retired from their job, and sadly we lost few friends who were our regular donors as they are now no more on the earth, but ofcourse they live in our heart 💜 forever.
