WELCOMING STUDENTS AFTER SUMMER BREAK

Welcoming the students after the summer break, an assembly was organized for classes I & II on 4th July, 2025. The assembly began with the school prayer . Students raptured on an energising and invigorating welcome dance followed by enactment on 'Healthy Daily Routine' and English recitation of the poem 'School Bells'.
Vice Principal, Mrs. Dimple Joneja and Academic Coordinator ( Primary ), Mrs. Remya Menon addressed the students and congratulated them for a wonderful presentation . The assembly concluded with National Anthem .

*School Capacity Building Programme 2025-26**

Upskilling Educators, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya successfully conducted a 15-hour School Capacity Building Programme from 14th to 28th May 2025.This intensive series of workshops aimed to equip educators with contemporary skills and knowledge crucial for holistic student development. These sessions were taken by Guest Speakers and School faculty members.
The programme began with a session on integrating values through English, inspiring educators to foster global perspectives. This was followed by a workshop on Holistic Progress Cards, promoting a more comprehensive student assessment approach. Several meaningful activities were conducted, including a Discussion of Holistic Report Card, Syllabus Mapping and Integrated Lesson Plan Making Activity reflecting the paradigm shift in ‘Assessment of Learning to Assessment for Learning.’
Legal awareness was strengthened through an enlightening session on POCSO, JJ Act & Child Rights, while Disaster Management prepared teachers for emergencies. The use of AI in education showcased innovative teaching methods.
Inclusive Education and Prashast Screening empowered teachers to identify and support students with disabilities. The “Happy Classrooms” session emphasized emotional well-being. Cyber Safety sensitized staff about digital threats.
The workshops enriched faculty skills and highlighted the school’s commitment to holistic professional development. These workshops offered invaluable professional development, fostering a more informed and capable teaching fraternity.

Session on Self Defense Training for Girls of Classes VII to X

School in partnership with Delhi Police, Mandir Marg, New Delhi conducted a session on Self Defense Techniques for girl students of classes VII to X on 8th May’2025. Self defense training is crucial for girls for enhancing their safety, self confidence and overall well being. It equips girls with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves in difficult situations, promotes situational awareness and fosters a sense of empowerment.

A workshop on POCSO, Justice Juvenile Act, Child Rights, and Corporal Punishment was held on 16th May 2025 from 12 to 1 PM at Munshi Memorial Hall, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya. The session was attended by all the teaching and Non teaching staff , School Admin., guards, MTS etc of the School to enhance awareness and legal understanding regarding child protection. The Guest Speaker, Mr. Tejasvi Goel, Advocate at the Supreme Court of India, Central Government Counsel, Certified Mediator, and Trainer with DCW delivered an informative and engaging session, highlighting the details of POCSO ,JJ ACT and Child rights and emphasizing the importance of legal responsibilities, safe practices and the importance of a child-friendly school environment. Dr. Jyoti Dev Rishi, School Counselor, Mehta Vidyalaya, also discussed about Corporal Punishment wherein she shared that The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act) prohibits corporal punishment in schools. Specifically, Section 17 of the RTE Act states that no child shall be subjected to physical punishment or mental harassment. Violations of this provision can lead to disciplinary action against the offender under applicable service rules.

भारतीय विद्या भवन, मेहता विद्यालय में हिंदी दिवस पर हिंदी -संस्कृत कार्यशाला दिनांक 02-05-2025 को आयोजित की गई । छात्रों ने होली गीत गायन, काव्य मंचन और कदम ताल में भाग लिया। दिल्ली संस्कृत अकादमी के सचिव श्री जीतराम भट्ट जी ने गतिविधियों का संचालन किया। जिससे छात्रों की रचनात्मक और सांस्कृतिक समझ बड़ी।
