Mr Vishal V. Sharma, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of the Republic of India to UNESCO.
This milestone reflects the strength and longevity of UNESCO’s partnership with the Government of India. For 14 years, UNESCO MGIEP has embodied UNESCO’s core mission — building peace in the minds of men and women — advancing research, policy, and training worldwide, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violence across 125+ countries.

As the primary lead of the Digital Games for Peace program, the Associate Project Officer - Digital Games would be expected to design, develop, and deploy high-quality digital game-based learning products aligned with Education for Peace, well-being, and sustainability, integrated into the UNESCO MGIEP digital learning ecosystem.
In their role, the incumbent will ensure pedagogical soundness, user engagement, and timely delivery through coordination with external partners. They will also support the integration of game-based approaches into courses and conduct research to evaluate learning outcomes.

The incumbent will employ a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods to evaluate and build empirical evidence for the Cognitive Academic Social Emotional framework for the science of learning, advise on the embedding, design, development, and implementation of social emotional learning and assessments using immersive digital tools.

As part of the ongoing partnership between UNESCO MGIEP and Adayu, we were delighted to host Dr. Samir Parikh, Director of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences at Fortis Healthcare, at the UN House today.
Welcomed by UN India’s Resident Coordinator, Stefan Priesner, the session sparked an important conversation on prioritizing mental health in the workplace 💬
Dr. Parikh shared simple yet powerful steps to support one another:

👂 Listen – Be present without judgment
🤝 Link – Guide them towards professional support
The session brought together 80+ colleagues from across UN agencies, with more than 250 joining the session online, all walking away with valuable insights!
