THE LOOKING GLASS PROJECT is an initiative of The Tadpole Repertory, to provide opportunities for people of all ages - from small children and students, to working adults, to our venerable elders - to involve themselves creatively in the making of theatre, and through imaginative activity, to develop a caring appreciation for it.

Examining the importance of gesture and action on stage. Engaging both the body and the imagination through theatre games and exercises, participants will learn playfully and instinctively how impulses can be translated into dramatic action. And, how movement, gesture, action and even stillness, create meaning on stage.

Examining the idea of 'presence' on stage: through playing games and exercises, participants will analyse fundamental physical and mental circumstances involved in live performance - raising their awareness of its demands , and helping them find a deeper consciousness of what it means to 'be present' in the moment, and play!
