The International Centre for Cultural Studies (Bharat) conducted a press conference announcing the 9th Triennial International Conference and Gathering of Elders, to be held in Surat from 29 January to 2 February 2027.
Centered on the theme "Ancestral Wisdom in Contemporary Challenges", the conference will bring together over 500 delegates representing 100 traditions from 50 countries creating a rare global platform for dialogue between indigenous knowledge systems and contemporary academic thought.
From vibrant processions in traditional attire to insightful academic sessions, sacred morning ceremonies, exhibitions, cultural programs, and storytelling workshops, the gathering promises a rich exchange of living traditions addressing today’s global challenges.
A celebration of heritage, wisdom, and unity—inviting the world to reconnect with the roots that guide our future. 🌍

The 13th Chamanlal Ji Memorial Lecture, organised by International Centre for Cultural Studies, was successfully held on 25 March 2026 in New Delhi. Centered on the theme “India’s Role in a Changing World Order,” the lecture brought together scholars, diplomats, and students for a thought-provoking dialogue on global transitions and India’s evolving position. ✨🙏🏻
Keynote speaker Harsh Vardhan Shringla emphasized India’s response to global challenges through the timeless principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, advocating cooperation, unity, and shared prosperity.
