Mother’s Day Celebration at DAV Public School, Rohini

DAV Public School, Rohini celebrated Mother’s Day with great enthusiasm and love. Mothers play a very important role in the life of a child as they are the first teachers, constant supporters, and guiding lights who nurture children with unconditional love and care.

To express their gratitude and affection towards their mothers, students of Classes III to V participated in various creative activities.

The students of Class III prepared beautiful “Little Love for Mom” greeting cards along with heartfelt messages for their mothers. The cards reflected the innocent love and appreciation children have for their moms.

The students of Class IV enthusiastically participated in the “Mom and Me Frame”activity. They made attractive photo frames and pasted their favourite picture with their mothers, making the activity memorable and emotional.

The students of Class V took part in the “Sparkle for Mom” activity, where they creatively designed jewellery( necklace , ear rings, bracelet s )using colourful beads for their mom. The students displayed great creativity and artistic skills through their work.

The outcome of all the activities was truly wonderful and appreciated by everyone. The celebration beautifully highlighted the special bond between mothers and children and filled the atmosphere with joy, love, and gratitude.

World Migratory Bird Day Celebration at DAV School, Rohini

DAV School, Rohini celebrated World Migratory Bird Day with great enthusiasm and awareness. The special assembly was conducted by the students of Class 4C to spread knowledge about migratory birds and the importance of protecting them.

The assembly began with the Word of the Day and an inspiring thought that encouraged everyone to care for nature and wildlife. The students confidently shared interesting facts about migratory birds, explaining why these birds migrate from one place to another and the different seasons during which they travel.

A meaningful skit was presented by the students to highlight the challenges faced by migratory birds during their long journeys. Through their performance, the students conveyed the message that humans should protect birds, preserve their habitats, and create a safe environment for them. The skit beautifully emphasized the need for kindness, awareness, and environmental responsibility.

The assembly was informative, engaging, and appreciated by all. It encouraged students to become more sensitive towards nature and inspired everyone to contribute towards the safety and conservation of migratory birds.

A special assembly on the occasion of Ayushman Bharat Divas was conducted in the school. During the assembly, students highlighted the importance of this government initiative. The program included the Thought of the Day and Word of the Day.

Students also recited a poem and presented a skit to showcase the importance of health and well-being. Through a meaningful prayer, they emphasized the value of a healthy life.

The assembly was very insightful, and the Principal, Mrs. Rajbir Kaur, lauded the efforts of the students.

World English Day Celebration

DAV Public School, Rohini celebrated World English Day on the birth anniversary of William Shakespeare. Students of Class 5B conducted an engaging morning assembly highlighting Shakespeare’s contribution to the English language and ways to become fluent speakers.

The assembly included a thought for the day, word of the day, and news headlines. Students also shared useful tips to improve English such as regular reading, speaking practice, and vocabulary building. A short skit on “How to Converse Well” showed the importance of confidence, clarity, and practice in communication.

Students presented commonly used Shakespearean phrases like “Break the ice,” “Love is blind,” and “All that glitters is not gold.” The Principal, Mrs. Rajbir Kaur, appreciated the efforts of the students.

My Imagination, My Cover – Book Cover Designing Activity

On the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day, the activity My Imagination, My Cover was organized for the students of Class 4. The objective of the activity was to encourage creativity and enhance students’ interest in books and reading.

Students participated enthusiastically by designing imaginative and visually appealing book covers for various books. They used vibrant colors, creative illustrations, and thoughtful titles to bring their ideas to life. The activity allowed them to explore their artistic skills while understanding the importance of book presentation and design.

Each creation reflected originality, creativity, and a unique perspective, showcasing the students’ ability to think beyond the text and visualize stories in an engaging manner. The activity successfully fostered both creativity and a deeper connection with books among the participants.

Overall, My Imagination, My Cover was an enriching and enjoyable experience for all the students.
