The Department of History organized an educational visit to Nizamuddin Dargah under the guidance of our respected professor, Dr. Asad Ahmed. A report was prepared of the field visit. The main aim of this visit was to connect our classroom learning with real historical observation. It helped us understand the architectural style, cultural importance, and socio-religious aspects of medieval India in a practical way.
A total of 22 students took part in the excursion and actively participated in discussions and learning activities at the site. The group was led by Nisha Goyat, whose leadership and coordination ensured that everything went smoothly and remained well-organized.
The visit deepened our understanding of Sufi traditions and the importance of historical heritage in today’s society. It was a valuable learning experience that strengthened our teamwork, analytical thinking, and appreciation for India’s rich historical legacy.

Climate change enacts "slow violence"—a quiet, attritional force dissolving homes through toxic air, scarce water, and infertile lands, unlike dramatic disasters. In Dhemaji, Assam, climate - fueled floods (Times of India, May 2025) destroy farms, driving youth to Chennai/Bengaluru while families remain in stilted chang ghars; Delhi's smog mimics smoking 12 ci******es daily, endless summers, and droughts prompt escapes to villages or hills. Echoing Partition migrations and Bengal famines, these invisible refugees replay history's gradual displacements.
