We celebrated Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.
The celebration was graced by the presence of Honourable Chairman Sir, Mr. P. K. Sahgal; Founder Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Usha Sahgal; Dr. Pooja Malhotra, Principal, Adarsh Public School, Vikaspuri; Ms. Neha Sahgal, Eminent Educationist; Principal of the school,
Mr. Prashant Sahgal; & the Headmistress of the school, Ms. Ridhima Kharyal.
The celebration started with the melodious renderation of Vande Matram followed by floral welcome and hoisting of tricolor by the Chairman of the school.
The programme was confidently conducted by the Head Boy, Aditya Singh, and Head Girl, Tanvi Jain. A captivating patriotic skit titled Freedom to Responsibility brought alive the inspiring stories of Shaheed Udham Singh and Aruna Asaf Ali, taking the audience through India’s struggle for freedom. The skit also highlighted that patriotism today lies in respecting the Constitution, fulfilling our duties, promoting unity, and contributing positively to society.
An insightful address by Dr. Pooja Malhotra further enriched the celebration. She spoke about the true meaning of freedom and encouraged students to understand and exercise their rights responsibly.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Keshav Kumar Pundhir, Head Prefect, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, school leadership, teachers, students, and everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration.
The celebration was a meaningful reminder that freedom and responsibility go hand in hand, inspiring students to become responsible citizens and contribute towards a stronger and united India.
