nstruct and program autonomous robots using LEGO Mindstorms Education NXT. The mentor or coach will follow a preconstructed researched curriculum and guide youth through the design and engineering process. By the end of the course students will have the skills to build and program various types of robots that are to be showcased to their families. The culminating goal is have 10 students advance on and take part in Delhi’s Regional First LEGO League competition. They will learn how to build robots that aid humanity. Partnering with The Illuminated Cities Projects from New York City students will have the opportunity to apply to be fellows and partake in an international exchange program. As a fellow students will research problems within their communities, connect with local organizations and fly to New York City to meet organizations that can guide them to initiate their projects. Being an Illuminated fellow is a yearlong fellowship where students walk away with management skills and leadership skills needed to change the world in a positive manner.
