The dairy cattle show happened this morning at Glenn County Fair. Heath did a great job showing his heifer! He took first in intermediate showmanship and second in senior showmanship. His heifer took 4th in her replacement class. Good job Heath!

If you have never been to the beef show at Glenn County Fair, it’s quite the event! There’s country music playing, a big crowd, and really good looking cattle. Heath brought one of the best market steers to the fair, earning FFA Champion Market Steer and Reserve Supreme Champion. He also won the intermediate FFA showmanship class and then took second in the senior showmanship class. Congratulations Heath!

In the miniature goat show at Glenn County Fair, Abi showed his Pygmy’s. He won pygmy
Grand and Reserve Champion pygmy and won FFA showmanship. Great job Abi!

The pig show is competitive at Glenn County Fair and Mara’s hog didn’t disappoint! She took second in her market class with her dark crossbred gilt. Congrats to Mara!

Abi did a great job in the goat show ring today! He placed second in his market class and was in the final drive for champion. He also placed 4th on his showmanship class. Way to go Abi!

Congratulations to our State Degree Recipients! And Mr. Harvey won star administrator for the North Valley section.

The meeting went really well. We played some games together and had cookies at the end, which made it feel fun and relaxed. The officers also surprised everyone by adding a challenge where they used Nerf guns to make the games harder, which made everything more exciting and competitive in a fun way.

Congratulations to these eight in the incredible individuals! They’re involvement in effort towards FFA ! does not go unnoticed! Their positions will be announced at banquet

Dear Vet Tech,

I don’t think I’m ready to say goodbye to something that has meant this much to me. What started as just trying something new my freshman year turned into the place I grew the most, laughed the hardest, and found some of the best people in my life. It’s not just the end of a season, it’s the end of something that shaped me into who I am today.

Thank you for the memories I’ll never forget. From laughing in the car until we couldn’t breathe, to somehow turning eating playing cards into a core memory, to always being terrible at sheep breeds… every moment mattered. Even the chaotic ones, especially the chaotic ones.

Thank you to my amazing teammates throughout the years. You were always there for me, always giving me a reason to smile, and always pushing me when I needed it most. There were times I wanted to quit, times it felt too hard, but you never let me. I’m so grateful I got to spend every minute with you guys.

And thank you Verar, for everything. For laughing with us, driving us, sometimes mocking us, and most importantly growing with us. These years would not have been the same without you.

Vet Tech taught me so much more than just skills. It taught me how to be myself, how to push through the hard moments, and how to truly enjoy the good ones.

Chico field days will always have my heart, and honestly, I’ll even miss the 5-hour drives to Fresno. I never thought I’d say that.

My last field day may be over, but the memories, the lessons, and the people will stay with me forever.

PS: Sorry Josh… had to get you out during the purge 😌🐾💙
